need help about my dtr125

HI! I have got a little problem with my DT175, the battery seems to discharge itselfe, so i have to charge it about once og twice a week I have tried meassuring the voltage coming out of the + and - from the wirering harness, without the battery on, and it says 14,6-15V, which is (according to the maunal) okay. Anyone who knows what the problem might be ? The battery is quite new, got it just before winter, but it saddly got left out a few weeks in the frost. Thanks!

Hey all just picked up a 82 XT550. Im trying to diagnose a no-spark issue, perhaps some of you can help. At best, when I kick it over I am only getting -3v to the coil, on both wires. Im sure I dont have my multimeter wires switched, it registers -3. Ive never seen this before in a bike, but then Ive only worked on a couple of them before so Im not quite sure how to go about diagnosing this. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Hey all and thanks for looking! Im in some need of some help with a 1980 MX 175. The story goes, the previous owner ran it and loved it, but then the premix pump when out and he burned the rings/Sleeve. So its been sitting in a storage unit the last couple years. Theres also a couple mm's of play in the connecting rod at the crank, and he's not sure whats acceptable. Hi Guys Recently my bike has started making a crunching/grinding sound all of a sudden as I'm just riding along. I think it is connected to the gears. Also when I set off in first gear it makes a clicking noise and like bounces. It has got worse and today it did it when I was going down hill. The best I can describe it is...... As though your riding along in top gear at 50 mph, then all of a sudden you drop it in to first and let the clutch out.???????????? Please can someone help me, I don't have a clue about mechanics and I don't want to ride my bike until it's sorted in case I make it worse. Hi im new to the forms. Im thinking about buying a 1973 dt250. I would aprecciat any advice. I searched the internet and for some information. I couldnt find anything about fuel milage, i saw figures from 20mpg-50mpg. If anyone has an estimate i would aprecciate it. They want 650 for the bike with the odometer reading around 5000 mile, has the title and runs. What do you guys think?

I tried removing the rear footpegs on my XT but couldn't. By the looks of it I will have to chop the off with a stihl saw or grinder. I don't like them, they get in the way and look shit. Any suggestions on what to do, or how to go about it?

hi i recently took my bike to the garage as it wasnt running rite eg spluttering at high revs and not reving up though the rev range,they cleaned the carb,tryed upjetting it,checked the piston and powervalve all good it was still the same so they removed the airbox snorkal and now no spluttering and will rev rite upto the red line if need be but now its really hard to start ,sucking in to much air in now i supose would down jetting solve this the current jet is a 240,only mode is a big one exhaust.

Like the title says, I cannot find a similar enduro like mine in the picture. I'm almost positive it's a DT100 but thats it. I have not seen another one like it. If someone can tell me the year and anything else about it that'd be great.

Hey guys Im 17 and I just bought my first (street legal) BIKE! Its the only thing that would be insurable with my income Im aware that it is slow and thats nbd to me but im wondering if there is anything i can do to refurbish the front and back suspension. If im riding and i hit a bump it has like 1 inch of travel haha. Is there another bike I can take the front suspension off of? As for the rear, is there any site you guys know of that is selling a new spring? Let me know if this is already posted ext or link me. Please help!

I have a DT125R 2002 model (de031),I had an idiot drive in the back of me and now I need a new back wheel.Can anyone advice me if other year models will fit my bike,Ive seen one from a 97 model but not sure if this will fit.......

Hi all, my engine has been at the shop for about 2 months now (really crap service) think he has had some staff issues anyhow the problem now is that it is bored out to .75 over and it appears they have now discontinued this size, I was hoping to avoid a re bore but unless anyone knows where I can find one this seems my only option to go up to 1mm oversize, I have trawled ebay and spoke to yambits so before I go down the re bore route I thought id see if any of you knowledgeable lot could help out, Thanks

Well I guess I'm back again just chaulk full questions. I'm replacing the clutch side crank seal and not sure how to disconnect the oil line from the clutch side cover to the oil tank. any suggestions gratefully accepted. I got the inner clutch basket retaining bolt off with my impact wrench but not sure how to torque it back on as I don't have the appropriate wrench. on the same note what's the best way to bend the locking plate up to secure the nut? let's hope it runs ok after this. After sitting for a couple of days it starts right up with a fair amount of smoke??? As the pump is disconnected runs for a while and then dies. have a great day/ride Jim 92 F…

hi guys -- i've got an old ct1-175 i've been working on, off-&-on, for a few years with my son. the time has come to pull the cylinder & check its diameter, to see if the cylinder needs boring oversize. if someone could please answer a couple questions about this, i'd appreciate it. 1. i don't have an inside mic nor a regular mic big enough for the cylinder diameter. i do have telescoping gauges and a pretty good mitutoyo vernier caliper. would the caliper work & be precise enough for checking the cylinder? 2. the odometer reads 2145 miles. is that really low mileage for one of these bikes? i've got this hope that, possibly, the cylinder will …
