Hi i have a dt125 1999 and the wire that should go to the clocks has been cut so dont have the indicator light flash on the clocks when i indicate t left but it does work when i indicate right have found the wires but not sure were to run new wire to does anyone know were the wire sholud go or a photo i can look at. Hello Everybody I have a DT50 year 1990 bike. I need to change the tachometer cable. But no matter how I pull the cable out (the end near the throttle cable), it won't come out. Can I just pull it to remove the cable or are there any screws to be unscrewed first? The speedo cable is straight forward. Just needed a pull... Please help me :/

Hi I'm starting to restore my 1980 DT175MX, but the hole in the side stand mounting plate is elongated, this I can sort but the plate is bent! not sure if it's ment to be like this or not if anybody has or could take photos of the bracket for the side stand it would be a great help cheers

ok i really want dual exhaust from a crf250f on my wr, i am converting it ti race with 250f bikes, i know they wont bolt right up, but will they fit fine on the part where they connect to the header???

hey. is it possible to fit a digital dash to the yamaha dt 125r? if so which would work? if a digital one wont work is there any others that will fit the bike and work as i would like to be able to check the speed easier as the current one can be hard to read.

Hello all, this is my second topic about this bike. Anyways, the rear shocks on my 75 DT400 are shot. Anyone have any good affordable suggestion for shocks for this? Hey guys after finding out i had a poorly fitted dtmx50 exhaust i have ordered a used big one exhaust more suited to my dt125r so was just seeing if there would be any interest in it after i have removed it. Its a dep can and pics can be supplied/emailed. Thanks.

Hey guys new member here. Just bought my first dt last week and i love it. Its a 99 model with renthal bars but no other major mods. My main problem is restriction. My bike will only rev cleanly to around 6500-7000 revs then or 45-50mph but will go no harder. I have trawled through numerous other posts trying to find my answer but to no avail. I dont seem to have a reed valve behind the speedo. Neither do i have the green and black wire which needs to be earthed. I plan cutting my exhaust tomorrow for a look in there and have remove the restrictiors there however I dont see this as the only main retardation on my bikes performance as it is dreadfully slow. Hey guys, I am brand new to this forum. I have a problem with my 1980 Yamaha TT250 dirt bike. My plastic gas tank completly rotted from the inside out and gas is coming out of the side of the tank. I have such a problem finding a gas tank for the bike, because of the mono-shock. No one even makes a new tank for this bike. I was wondering if anyone knew if any other tanks fit my bike?? It's such a shame because the bike looks great and runs great aside from the tank being rotted out. Thanks for the help guys, Vic

First project out of my garage for Son #1, DT125R. Now son #2 has been rummaging through my shed and the leftovers of the first bike project, and come up with: a complete rolling frame DT125LC Mk1 - all there minus engine, carb, exhaust, radiator. almost a complete DT125R minus frame. Should I rebuild & fit the later engine, forks, yokes, wheel, disc brake etc into the Mk1 and have a kind of Evo? Source a Mk1 engine and rebuild the bike to keep it original? Source a DTR frame and rebuild the later bike...? Anyone got experience of updating a Mk1 and thoughts? Blinkin' kids and their bikes...looks like my projects are on hold again

I really don't want to get into a big discussion here. Oil threads are beat to death. I just want to know what you guys are putting in your ole xt's since 20w/40 is no longer available? Mine is an 89' with about 17K on it. Also has anyone put full synthetic in the thing? Just wondering how it reacted with the clutch. I've been using 10w-40 Valvoline motorcycle oil because it's pretty easily available. What are you guys using? thanks

I'm looking to change my chain and sprockets soon but am in two minds as to change the amount of teeth on my sprockets or not.. The top end of my bike is roughly 85/90mph depending how hard i push it i mainly use my bike around town and on the back lanes just for comuting and some summer fun really.. i wouldn't mind slightly better acceleration, but i am getting mixed answerrs from my friends. Some say smaller sprrocket on the front will increase accel but drop top end a little. And otthers say increease the teeth on the rear which will have thee same affect? i am looking for a definative add or remove x amount of teeth on front/rear sprocket to get this outc…
