hi ..im scott..i have a 1977 400IT that i want to upgrade parts..forks,triple clamps,headlight,tail/turn lights,wheels..has anyone ever seen one of these supermoto style? if so lemme know..if not than it looks like ill be the first one to do such a dinosaur..haha..thanx for your time

dudz,,,am confused .. ur all talking about a certain wire from speedo that needed to be earth on the frame........that f ur still using ur speedo...in my case dudz were i had remove all the components n my dtr,,and replace it with a racing plate... my question is ? do i still have to look for a certain wire to earth it ?were do i find it?under the tank, ,is that wire coming from the cdi? or from the servo? whats the color of that certain wire bro?i am really confused..my powervalve works well ,,but am just curious about those restriction ur talking,,,as of now ;thus my power valve move freely....or still i had to wired it to free it from restriction…

HI all, Here's a few pics of the new wheels I picked up a couple of months ago for $150. I figure good value if it runs and it' less than $1 per CC. I need to fix the slipping clutch and put the air filters back in place as it idles all over the place. It will at least start. I'll eventully get around to set the timing so if anyone wants to take a punt on the numbers on that please let me know. I was thinking of trying the points setting of a DT 175a and see how that goes. Gordo

I have a 2000 yamaha wr400 and it came with when i purchased it a dakar electro sport lighting kit i can do all the hard ware install no prob but i never got the wiring diagram for it does any one have one they can up load or email me it would be greatly appreciated summer is hear i wanna ride thats all i need to complete. thanks in advance to any one who can help.

I'm renovating a DT125R and had to replace the rear wheel. Now I have done that I CANNOT GET ANY PRESSURE FROM THE REAR BRAKE AND THE BRAKE DOES NOT OPERATE. The rear brake caliper is fixed to the wheel spindle, so when I removed the wheel I (probably incorrectly), I disconnected the rear brake cable from the caliper so that the caliper could be removed connected to the wheel spindle. I have now read that I have made some errors in the way I removed the wheel and in particular the rear brake caliper. The rear brake cable that I disconnected from the caliper has obviously leaked some brake fluid whilst the wheel was replaced. Now I have replaced the wheel/caliper…

hi everyone finally got a dt 230,picked it up,got home,all appeared good until a bit of a grinding started from power valve,removed cover,bit of play,suspected bush,removed all covers pulled power valve out,only got one half,other nowhere to be seen,not suprising seller not answering phone,600 mile round trip not really worth a return visit.now to the point,im not hopeful of getting a 230 one,would like to know if anyone has a 125 one i could borrow with view to buying if it fits,happily pay postage and return postage if it wont fit. thanks mark. update,125 power valve aquired,not the same,bit of reprofiling needed,hopefully it will work.

Hi all bought my 2000 yz 125 last week was running fine then all of a sudden it died at high revs in 5th and refused to re start off kick, tried bump starting and had to be pulled by a car for about 500m before it eventually started, but then died again and wouldn't restart. anyone got any ideas what it could be that is causing this? thanks joe

Hey guys, I'm new to the forum, recently purchased a 2008 registerd TDR 125 that was a grey import from Germany. Unsure what year the model is other than it's definately a modern model. Had it on the road briefly but unfortunatly due to lack of funds it's been sat for a few months. When it was on the road it topped out at an indicated 70 to 74/5 Mph. It currently has the factory exhaust installed and according to the previous owner (who imported it as far as I'm aware) It has never been de-restricted. My questions are, as the engine is as far as im aware a DT engine will a modern DT performance exhaust such as a DEP/Arrow exhaust fit my bike and has anybody had experience…

Hi guys, Sorry I havn't been on here in a while, i started a new job and it all got hectic! I've recently purchased an old Yamaha WR200 enduro. I've been told it's been bored out to a 250 but I've yet to open up the engine as it seems to have compresssion and turns nicely so will get it running before i do so. I was wondering if anyone on here knew much about them? I remember seeing a thread about them a while back but there wasnt much response. I'm planning to restore it and possibly make it road legal. I want to sell the DTRE and and start looking for a 31k RD350 but alot of my funds are tied up in the DTRE and i dont want to be bikeless for any period of tim…

hi after changing my water pump seal i have now noticed it warming up quickly and then shooting up towards the red is there any knack to bleeding the system or may i have a sticky thermostat i will be having another look at it at the weekend just wondered if anyone could give me a heads up before i take it apart yet again im dying to get it in for its mot nearly there now cheers bry

hi ppl jst wondering if any one has any tips about the athena 170 kits, been thinking bout geting one for my dtre there prity expensive though, a dt/rd fanatic m8 said that wen u put the 170 kit on ur alot better geting a 170 crank/conrod aswell or a uprated/heavey duty 125 one to cope with the biggerload and make it more reliable, what do us make of that is it true or alot of dribble also any info on the 170 kit would b gr8ly appreciated lol like cheap places to buy one thanks daz milne

hi guys i have a dt50mx 1989 which has started running badly it will tick over all day but as soon as you started to rev it up, it will start cutting out and back firing. i have done a compression test it it said 150psi don't know what it should be? took the carb off and cleaned it out one of the jets where blocked i cleared the blockage still no joy. it has one of those k&n air filters onthis probly isn't helping, trying to get hold of the original airbox. any suggestions thanks

Hi, my son & daughter both have pw80's & I was wanting to know the year of them. The vin numbers are both on the right hand side of the steering tube. The older bike reads 4bc-055839. The newer bike reads 4bc-095092. Any help would be really appreciated.
