Dual Sport, Offroad Bikes

Hi I'm new to this forum and own a 59 plate xt660X that I use for knocking around the back roads on. I am trying to get hold of a mudguard extender for the front mudguard but cannot seen to find anyone that makes one for this bike. Would be really grateful if someone could point me in the right direction here. Either to a supplier or if anyone knows if the same guard was used on another model. The MT-03 looks as though it might be close. Thanks in advance.

heya everyone i bought a 2007 dt125x supermoto a couple of months ago, i have taken the snorkle of the air box, bought a dep end can but now i need the front half of the pipe. my standard one is pretty wrotten so no point in gutting it out. does anyone have a dep front pipe for sale to fit my 2007 sm?? and also a cdi to fit my bike. basicly i want it as fast as possable and to sound as nice would be very greatful for any help and especially greatful if someone has an exhaust for sale. thanks Harley

i just bought an xt 125 x 57 plate for £800 but the clocks have broke the lad said he was trying to wire up and alarm but the clocks popped the "MPH" is aways displayed is this a common fault ?

iv a 05 dt125re dat i cant get past 52mph.. iv earthed de wire coming from de speedo, iv taken de cat out of the exhaust, engine is perfect i rebuilt it myself a few 100 ago. de bike will fly up to 52 then its like its smothering itself.. i think it must be the power valve because ther is no shortage of power but at 52 it just chokes up. iv read that de wire frm the speedo needs to be earthed to stop de power valve restriction but this clearly hasnt worked, any1 hav any ideas? thanks

anyone here know if the dtx speedo drive unit works with a dt125re hub? as i have the hub spoked into a 17" wheel and dont want to go spending money on the unit without knowing if it will fit thanks Jake

Hello Everyone I have a 1998 yz 125 and there is a oil leak coming from the powerport. its not a drip either, there is a good bit coming out!! its on the right hand side of the engine beside the expansion chamber. there is also a good bit of oil coming from a run of from the powervalve anyone have have ideas what this is about?? i was told that it could just be a seal around the powervalve? any other advice would be appreciated! my choke lever snapped today and was just wanting to know if any 1 know were i could get 1 or if any 1 has 1 spare wich i could buy of them ? Ryan

ryt am going to tell you everything what up with my bike at the min.i am having trouble starting it and 1nce it starts it runs for a few the cuts out and if i try and rev it it also cuts out .it has recently had since i bout it...... new standard jets ,spark plug,air filter,1 of my friends said that the float makes a lot of diff.so if it is set incorrect could this be stoping my bike starting , SMOKING!? when my bike start there is alot of white smoke comes chuking it out of the exhaust i dont know if this is because it hasent been ran in a while or what ,?? any replys would be thanked

Ive recently brought a Yamaha Dt 125 LC '89 and want to get supermoto style wheels for it, any ideas on what rims will fit? I have found a set of Yamaha 125 XT rims that look like they'll fit but not too sure. any help is much appreciated

need a lil it of help.... got a dt 125 lc that im rebuilding and im missing a few minor parts. I need the cage for the air filter, the carb to air box pipe and the air intake pipe, any one know where i can get them from? I've looked on ebay for them and no one seems to have them? any help is good help thanks.

I have a 59 Plate Yamaha XT 125 R . It has a HS1 12V 35W bulb for the headlight, which clearly the 35W bit is the problem... basically my visabillity on dark roads even with full beam is awful, i find myself driving and suddenly i see a corner,suddenly see the curb , suddenly see the white line. Any one know what bulb I can put in to make visabillity much better & that wont melt the cabling if it gets too hot? or do I need a Xenon kit ? Or do I need a better bulb be re-wire the headlight? HHHHHHEEEEEEELLLLLLPPPPPPPP?

Hi all, had my tw125 for almost 3 years now gonna have 3 years no claims as a learner pretty embarrassing aye? anyway to get to the point exhaust sprouted 2 holes last Monday so that was a treat spending 2 hours after work in the halfords car park patching them. Anyway I am looking for a new exhaust and can't find anyone selling a original stock exhaust so I have been looking into custom exhausts. Hi, I know similar questions get asked pretty regularly, but I'm hoping someone can help me pin-down the ages of my two bikes (a TTR250 and an XT225). The log books give a "declared date of manufacture", as they are greys, but I'm not sure these are totally reliable (I know they should be but...). I've got a couple of answers from t'internet, but I'd welcome a second opinion! The frame numbers are 4GY-0002xx and 4JG-1652xx (I do have the whole numbers, but a bit scared of publishing them, sorry!). Thanks chaps ! Bernie

Hi, my DT 125 lc MK2 blew up yesterday, so naturally i took the barrel off to noticed that the top of the piston had melted, not too much of a problem as it's an easy repair. but i've noticed that the bottom end of the engine is a MK2 engine (the square one without ypvs) and the barrel is a MK3 (Round with a powervalve) and that they aren't designed to go together as the water cooling channels are on the opposite side of the engine, someone has bodged the 2 parts together using silicon rubber and blocking up the water channels!! what should i do? i have found a set of engines on ebay ebay link i could put it back to how it's supposed to be without a powervalve…
