After many years of riding "conventional" bikes I recently bought an XV250 Route 66 cruiser but find I am not comfortable with the "sit up and beg" riding style. I love the bike otherwise and so was wondering if anyone knows if it is possible to convert the handlebars, footrest etc to more conventional street bike settings. Or is that sacrilege ? !!

I am thinking about bidding seriously on an 82' XV750 on Ebay. Is it possible to mount a sidecar to one of these? Obviously the motor acts as a stress member of the frame. I did a quick Google and can't find any mention of one fitted to an XV750SE. Would it require fitting of a subframe? Thanks for bearing with me.

Thats what I was told yesterday, for those of you (me inc) who a YZF750 if you blow your exhaust (not inc the end can) Yamaha do not thats right do not!! make pipes for the YZF750 anymore. Thats what the guy in Ride On said yesterday, when he was on the fiche, even he was bloody surprised, I mean ffs a 10 yr old bike!!!. I can still get new parts (not that I need them) for a 2/350 LC, so what the fuck is the problem with mine. Well Iv'e got letter written out to send to Yam to find out just what the fuck's goin' on, like I said to them at the end of the letter. So what are we supposed to do scrap the fuckin' bike!!!!

Looking at adapting this exhaust to fit my 2001 r6,could this affect the running of the bike ? Or would it just be the case of fitting and getting it dyno'd. Any info on this would be greatly appreciated.

Bought a Diversion 600 recently. A quite nice bike, suitable for my needs. But the idling is a little bit unsmoot, the cluths behaviors aggressivly, and there is some rattle from the engine. The bike is from -91, so I suppose there is some natural signs of age. But generally, what goes wrong with these bikes? Are there some wellknown "weak spots" of this bike? LJA/Finland

Ohhhhhhhhkay hey guys, i'm new here! Looking upon the deal of the 0% finance that's going on at the moment with the YBR's and i'm getting into this on Tuesday. I'm just wondering as to how to break the engine in. I know manufacturers say that you need to, essentially, baby it, but i've read in places that you need to just vary speeds and gears, don't rag it, but don't baby it either, just ride it how you normally would. This is so the piston rings set and don't glaze. I'm just wondering as to what the best method of breaking in an engine for a YBR is. I'd also like to add another question totally off topic. I noticed that the side panels (the new fairing on the …

Hiya all, my names Jonny, new to the forum so want to say hi to everyone. Just had two quick questions, firstly with my YBR is it normal for it to make a slight clunking noise when shifting into first? Doesn't sound like particularly healthy noise and wondering if it's anything to worry about. Also has anyone managed to find a manual online for this bike? I didn't get one with it when I bought it, but would be incredibly useful to have one! Thanks in advance, Jonny

Hi guys, i bought myself a dragstar last year (first time ive had a bike in a while), she is a nice looker with a vance and hynes exhaust system and sounds superb. I noticed that at higher speed when i released the throttle she would pop back through the exhaust, but was very loud. I was told to get a manometer and set the carbs up which i have done. I ride up the street and she runs beautiful with no backfiring atall. But when shes ticking over and i rev her, she will give a loud pop and sometimes you can see flames in the back of the exhaust? i assume this isnt normal or am i wrong? Any help or advice appreciated

Good day everybody! Nice to be here! Quick question! When I take my new SZ 16 also SZ-R in some markets (same engine as the FZ16) in for a scheduled oil change the dealer service tech says that it should only take 1 liter of oil when the manual say 1.2L. Yes, the filter was also changed! Any thoughts?? I don't want the oil level to be low as I hear this is bad on the clutch! Cheers!
