When I change the break-in oil at 600 miles what oil should I use? I live in Northern California. Best, Mike

So which fueld do you use and do you notice any difference? When i picked te bike up tuesday it was gilled with Total excellium. A day later it was filled up with cheap supermarket 95ron. I noticed a drop in power low down in higher gears. It seemed very flat around 4K. Went out for a ride tonight just to burn this petrol and have again topped up with some 97. I will report my findings tomorrow. Anyone else have a similar experience?

Hi Peeps, Need some help please im am going to buy an R6 this summer but am unsure on which one to get reading the reviews obviously the latest one is the best but i haven't got the money for that, i am thinking bout buying an 02 one is there alot of difference between a 1999 bike and a 2002 and if there is whats the benefits. I'm being lazy here, sorry... ...however, I want to put individual cone filters on the carbs on my YZF750R (streetfighter project) and was wondering if anyone knew what diameter the air intake was e.g. 43mm...? Otherwise I'll remove the airbox and measure them, as I said, just being lazy!

I have a 1982 XS400 DOHC i purchased as a project. Cleaned the carbs and got it running and then one day it just wouldnt start. I am in the process of tracking down all the electrical gremlins this thing has. I found this connection just hanging down under the battery near where all the wires go down under the motor. It looks like it clips to something and has two black wires going to it. I think possibly a ground but not sure. It is a round cap similar to what would go over the terminals on a starter solenoid, has two black wires going to it, and then inside has two copper clips that look like the go around something. I dont see anything hanging under it to connect to. P…

I am 19, going to college, and in need of more economical transportation. right now i drive a 2002 mustang gt, and with the parking the way it is at school, i have to get on campus a few hours before my classes start to get any parking. so, my thought is to go with my desire i have had since the first time i got on a dirtbike; i want an R6. but since i dont have much expierence riding on the street (i rode a Honda 650 enduro for a short while) i am asking you for any insight. i have heard to only get a bike if i really love riding, not just for gas prices or parking. i am still trying to decide which bike to get, and with a college student budget, i want to be sure b…

HI ALL, here's a little teaser for you. unfortunately i had a rather surprising encounter with a large lump of concrete halfway around a right hander on saturday and took a chuffing great lump out of my front rim! was wondering if anyone knows if a set of R1 wheels will fit on my 2001 FZS Fazer 1000 and if so what year R1 wheels can i use? Hi all I've got a 1994 fzr 600. It's in good condition other than a scuff on the fairing. It comes with spare tyres and wheels. Lovely ride starts 1st time every time. Fitted with a full carbon can company stainless steel system new painted wheels and bearings. Yamaha logo radiator cover etc. She's done 26k miles. I was thinking around £1500 with 11 months MOT Any advice is appreciated Thanks Dan

I love my bike to bits but I'll openly admit I'm useless when it comes to knowing about it. On that note I have an issue.... When I'm on the bike it feels as though there is a clicking as the wheels go round, it feels at the front but also when I pull up it seems either the radiator thing at the front or the engine is smoking. Any clues? Ta

Once my new FZ1N is run in am thinking what type of oil should i run ? Full Synthetic or Semi Synthetic ? i have always used semi syn in my bikes & changed both oil & oil filter every 3000km or approx 1700miles , but is it required that one should run Full syn oils in a R1 based engine of the 2008 model FZ1N ? . also once you use full syn oil , theres no turning back to using semi syn is there ? whats your opinion or what are you using in your R1 / FZ1N & why . p.s. thanks in advance for any help ..

Hi all. Was looking on ebay for parts for my 3HE FZR600. A vendor has what i'm looking for but says its for a 3TJ model. Whats the difference between these? Listing states the right year for my bike, but the Yamaha part number given for reference only starts 3TJ. All help greatly appreciated.

Hey there all,I''ve been looking for an engine to replace my yzf600(98) thundercat for a while, been doing some more ringing around and i've been told that it might not be blown bottom ends after all, it might be camshft tentioner, can anyone help on this as to weather there is a way of looking and telling the diferance or what this sounds like compared to bottom ends ect. at moe my poor baby sounds like a bag of big heavy nails is shaking around the bottom of the her engine. I can't get her into gear but she does start. If anyone can help....or have any ideas....Thanks guys x x x

so, here i was driving back to aberdeen, when BOOM! bike revs fly up, and my bike loses power. luckily i was able to coast into a parking place at the side of the road. anyone notice why i was so pi$$ed off ?
