I have just bought my son a TZR 125. It is registered as a 2001 TZR 125R on the papers but the local shop tells me that it is actually a 1995 TZR 125!!!! How can I tell for sure? The engine No. is 4JB 00752 and the VIN (frame) No. is 4JB 007609. Can anyone help please?

i have a tzr as a project bike and i want to make it really special.ive had one before,so i kinda know what im doing, but there'sa few urban legends i would like to staighten out.does the rear facing cylinder off a tzr250 vtwin,slot straight onto the 125 bottom end,without any mods?apparently it does, which would mean i could develop an under seat exhaust more easily.i also need to find a lighter flywheel/generator,and if anyone else can help with ideas(especially some formulas for exhaust design) any help would be much appreciated!!!thanx guys

Might just go and have a look at it maybe have a go if i can. So.... 1. is there much performance difference between a dt125lc mk3 and a Tzr? 2. what are TZR125s like?? hi,I recently bought a tzr125r 96 n reg,it is a import and the full power model as far as I know,can anybody point me in the right direction for a manual for this bike,the engine and chassis number both begin with 4HW but everything I have read online say you can identify a 4dl by the letters 4fuoo embossed on the cylinder which this bike has also all the panels have 3xv on them,the colour is black,purple blue,any help would be appreciated,thanks ayron ["[email protected]"]

Hi guys Im new to the forum after owning many LCs and Valves in my younger years Im looking for another stroker I really like the look of the 3XV 250 but Ive allways fancied an RGV which is the better bike ? i know most here will (like me) be biased towards the Yam and i sort of fancy a LC11 valve but Ive been there and done it many times so looking for something different any advice would be appreciated

Just helped a mate rebuild a TZR 250, its 2MA model I think, anyway just wondering/hoping if anyone out there knows what the single red light is for on the dash, it seems to illuminate when you exceed 50mph, any thoughts or definate answers? Cheers all.

I'm rebuillding a 3xv. beautiful bike.unfortunately i cant find a centre seal anywhere.I've tried yamaha dealers who've had no luck themselves.Anyone with any ideas please let me know. Thanks

Hi all...I wondered if you could offer any advice or info? My son's pal has bought the above bike which is in a pretty tatty state. I wondered is there any where that a workshop/owners manual for it can be downloaded? It is years since I had any dealings with a two stroke and would appreciate a bit of a hand in helping the lad out! The main things we need to clarify are the following: 1.Am I correct in assuming that if looking at the bike from the back, the reservoir to the left is for the 2 stroke oil? 2. The reservoir to the right is the expansion chamber for the cooling system? 3.Assuming I am correct with Nº1, this does appear to have some oil in but yet the o…

hey, had my tzr for about 2months now, and im thinkin of getting it de-restricted as, for a 50 its gotta pull alota weight with the ferring etc. now on the other threadm they were saying about you can take the exhaust off and take out the washer??? and it will hit around 50mph or so, but is this safe in doing so??? and are there any other restrictions on the bike it self? like engine and electrics??? any more info on de-restricting this bike would be very helpful thanx

I am not sure what exhaust to get. just a random exhaust I like or one that goes with the exup system. can someone help me out.

I have been reading some reviews of bikes with underseat exhausts like the FZ6. It seems some people have problems with the exhaust fumes being sucked back on to them while riding . . . resulting in fumagated riding gear. Does anyone on this forum with an FZ6 or other bike with underseat exhaust experience this? Greg

I'm needing two new silencers for my XJ900.The cheapest one i can find so far is a Motad full system for £250. Its only the silencers on my bike that have had it so i was thinking of getting some universal cans to fit on instead.I found a really nice pair on Ebay brand new for £70 which is not bad. Would i ruin my bike if fitting these on?
