I'm planning to put a YZF600 Thundercat ('98-'03) front end on my RZ350 and am wondering what parts interchange with R6 (more people must fall off R6's as there are way more used parts out there). I guess what I'm after is; -Can I put a Thudercat wheel in R6 forks? -What are the axle diameters? -Do R6 calipers bolt on to Thundercat forks ('98-'03)? Thanks

Would like to know if anyone has fitted ba risers to their cat and do they make any real worthwhile difference. I been looking on E bay for ages and they dont seem to come up, is this an indication that no one uses them. They only lift the bars 18mm which is a very small amount

Hi all. Ive got a Thundercat and have lately have been thinking about buying a set of aftermarket clip ons, and setting them under the yoke as opposed to the standard ones being above. Am i able to do this? Has anyone done it and how did they find it? Cheers

Hi everyone.. I have a 96 Thundercat, the silver and yellow one. I'm not too keen on the yellow and would like to change the colour. The front mud guard is not such a problem as i can just replace this with a black one. I have noticed that the yellow on the lower fairing and side panels seem to be declals rather than painted on. Does any one know if and how to remove these. If any one has already done this can you let me know if the fairing is painted underneath. Failing this can anyone direct me to anywhere who supplies replacement decals to put over the top... Cheers, Richard

Hi out there. Replacing the fork oil on my Thundercat and although I have the air-gap for the level, this is taken with the spring out. Does anyone know the capacity in cc/ml so I can refill without a full strip-down? Many thanks.

Just put my deposit down on a 52 plate Thundercat... so I'm just after a few pointers for living with it... Bike will mostly be used for commuting / distance work so I'll be racking the miles up. I'm thinking of either Pirelli Diablo Stradas / Bridgestone BT020's / Metzeler Z6's - any preference between these of Cat owners out there? Bearing in mind riding will include cold / wet / winter. What "quality" of oil do you guys use? I'm torn between splashing the extra on Castrol, or just sticking with Halfords as I've always used in the B12. Is it a motor that loves the cheap stuff or does it need to be mollycoddled? What kind of fuel economy / tank range …

Hi, first post here so if it's stupid please treat me gently. I have a 95 XJ 600N Diversion and both rear pistons siezed, I do schedule a strip down every year but the additional bad weather has caught me out, anyway I have managed to free one piston but the other won't budge. I have trawled the internet and contacted all the breakers that I can find but can't get one anywhere. hence the question - does anyone know if a caliper off any other bike will fit ? I have placed mine against a 02 Thundercat and apart from the pipe entry (which I can work around) they look the same. thanks Brian

Hi All, I am new to bikes, and just bought a Thundercat, What a bike! For some reason mine has a red reflector stuck to the rear numberplate - I noticed it failed on the last MOT having no Reflector so they must have stuck it on to pass. It looks rubbish and i am wondering where should it be? Thanks

Hi everyone in new to the site and been enjoying my 97 Thundercat. The problem i have got is that while i was setting the rear shock to standard settings everything was going fine until i was changing the rebound (counting the clicks),i heard a "PING" now theres no clicks and not changing to the movment of the adjuster.Adjuster just seems to just spins on the thread. The Shock really sits and pushers at the top of the travel (as though the rebound is quite high) with wooliness and doesnt settle(wholloing, like being on a waterbed).I've adjusted the rest of the the bikes settings to get around it/ not make shock the setting unrideable. Questions, Is it easily fix…

Hi there, new to the forum and looking for some advice. I recently bought a 2002 cat and although bike is prisine for its age the rear shock spring is corroded and its bugginf me. Wa looking to strip it out, clean and repaint it but I've found a company that will supply a new spring relatively cheaply. Only problem is they need the specification for the spring to supply a like for like replacement and they don't have them. They are looking for the Internal diameter of the spring and the load rating in Lbs/sq In. I can give then the I/D measurement but have no idea where to find or how to work out the load detail. Can anyone point me in the right direction. …

hi all, i have a 97 thundercat and its been layed up for a little over a year and ran perfect when i parked it up but since resurecting her in feb this year its had a rough tick over and spluters when on low revs but seems to run perfect on over quarter throttle, ive had carbs to bits and could not see any dirt also changed both coil packs but no diference, checked plugs and swapped them around to see if any change but still same, it seems the problem is with cylinders 1 and 3 as leaving the bike on tick over and checking temp of down pipes they seem lot cooler than 2 and 4 and also when had carbs to bits i ran bike with no petrol tank or airbox and proceeded to smother t…
