Hi all and thank you for having me along in the forum.. Posted couple pics of 96 YZF 600 R picked up couple wks back. Returned to Bikes after many years away One question.. Should I need to adjust suspension settings (particularly rear) on the Cat according to weight or are these things generally not to be touched? Bike seems to handle fine and no major issues in the limited time had the Cat.. Do ride the bike solo.. Thanks john

how much are dearler prices? and do other bikes use the same as the thundercat so i could use them if i carnt find origional 1`s

I just bought a mechanicaly perfect march 2000 r1 and aprt from minor cosmetic blemishes,to the fairing only,not the frame,the speedo unit works fine,but the tacho needle wont budge.Is this a common thing or just a one off?Can anybody tell me which of the cables going into the unit supplys the tacho its signal cause I cant find it in the workshop manual. The colour code that is.I also suppose that it gets its signal from the ignition pickup.Any help would be great. Take care out there and DONT FALL OFF.

As per title, is anyone using a bag or similar on the rack of their YBR125 ? If so, what are you using? I can not find anything that works perfectly :-( Any help greatly appreciated.

Hello all - I am new to the forum. Name is Paul, live in Altrincham South Manchester and have just bought a 2003 R6. I am after some advice over what Tail Tidy to get. Having done a quick google search have come up with a few but I can't work out whether you lose the rear indicators or not? Similarly, some seem simple to fit, others require drilling! Before I go and splash out some pennies on this, I would like to know if anyone on here has a tail tidy on a 2003 R6, how hard they were to fit with indicators and where they bought it from? Hi There, As requested I have now added a newbie thread in the correct section! Anyway, I have my Xj6 now! YES!!! I wanted to get to work on the tail tidy tonight but have found that I cannot remove the indicators. Has anybody else done this? I expected them to just be bolted on but they dont seem to be...not even sure if they will actually go on the new tail tidy since it has just one hole drilled. Any help would be great? Adam

Ok as my first post on the site I am looking for advise on tail tidy's.... Any one out there got one for the new r6? I know of R&G and Evotech performance but is there any other outfits making them? Also any pics available to see how they look on the bike? Another question is about Yamalube, my bike is coming up for the first service and wanted to know if the Yamalube would be the best choice, I am guessing it is but would like to know which Yamalube to purchase? it is just possile that im being slightly thick but i had to give up with my efforts to fit my R&G tail tidy today i have broken one of the plastic push in plug thingy (hi tech jargon there) is there an easy way to get them out ??? heeellllp!!!!!! any other tips welcomed (apart from tellin me to take it to the local workshop or never eat yellow snow) cj

Hey Guys, Ive booked to take my CBT Test on the 29th of November and just wondered if anyone had any tips or advice? Ive also baught a Yamaha YZF R125, so i really dont want to fail!! Once you past you CBT do they give you a certificate there and then? or do you have to wait for one to be sent to you? Thanks, Charlie

hi just had my bike sprayed r1 blue,does anyone know where i can get a tank protector that will be a close match for the colour?..tried a couple off the bay but neither is close enuff, cheers

Ive just bought a thundercat but the tank protector is peeling at the corners. I want to replace it with a new one but need to now how to remove the existing protector without pulling the paint off with it as i have heard the paint is quite soft. Any suggestions Cheers

Dear all, I'm sure this is embedded in another post somewhere but looked long and hard and couldn't find it. I know people have had problems removing the tank sticker on bikes and today I removed my own in about 10 mins with no residue left. I thought i'd leave a post for any others that are having trouble. 1) Get a hair dryer and heat the sticker starting on one corner. Once hot(ish) start peeling. Be aware the glue will remain on the tank.....this is normal. Keep heating the sticker and pulling so that the white piece comes off in one. 2) This is the annoying bit. Starting on the edges and working into the middle keep heating the glue with the hair dryer …

Due to the fact that i need a new tank for a 750 YZF and finding it hard to get one without a dent, can anyone tell me what other tanks i could use that will fit and not look out of place, the more options i have the better

does anyone know if a cdi box from an 83 venture will work on an 85? have a chance to buy one to get my 85 running but dont want to get it if its not going to work.

I have a 1997 TDM 850 4tx model with a th esynco going first to second, I am looking around for a nother second hand one, does anyone know what other gearboxs will fit please? Can you put the 900 box in place for example or anything else? Many thanks Normski

Hi folks, I,m new here so be gentle with me! What are your views on the TDM 850 as I fancy getting one,all the mags I have read say its ok, what are your opinions please.Any faults etc etc.....Any help would be appreciated. Oh I ride a Honda Dominator at the moment,and have an XT in the shed awaiting winter for some tlc....

Is there anybody out there. I'm new to all this forum business, so I don't know wether I'm in the right section. all I do know is I've got a TDM 850 thats bouncing about like a grasshopper on Acid, due to the fact the rear shock absorber is absolutley Fcuked ! So I would be very gratefull if anyone has got a used one for sale?
