Does anyone know of a good place to get FJ1200 ABS spares from, this is my first Yamaha so dont know of any dealers

I have to say I am a complete fool, this is my fist bike and I come off on my second time out I have managed to put a huge dent in the fuel tank on the left hand side even tho I went down on the right (I dont know how and I am sure it was not there, unless I had a real bad day and someone hit it during the night?) Apart from going to a dealer anyone know where I could get a new one? There are minor scratches to the mirror, front fender, front light and housing for the speedo/fuel/rev counter and bar end, any where I can also get these?? Any help and suggestions greatly received. Hi, ive just purchased a 2001 R1 and the suspension is all set to standard. I weigh in at around 210lbs. I know, or ive read at least, that im too heavy really, but whats the best settings to start with do you think Thanks for any help

I have seen a couple of FZ6's with the fairing removed, and a Speed Triple type double headlight setup installed. Does anyone know if this can be purchased as a kit, or do you have to cobble it together from parts? Any help would be appreciated.

hey, Somehow the casing for the speedo gearbox on the front wheel has cracked and split open. Any ideas about repair/replacement? oh, the bike is a DT125 LC Mk3. cheers!

Hello i'm new hear any fairly new to biking. Its come time to replace the tyres on my thundercat and i was wondering should i go for a sports/touring tyre or a straight sports tyres. I do a fair few miles as i use my bike to commute too and as i've only been riding for a year i know i'm not exactly going to be pushing the limits of my tyres but would someone with more experience be able to reassure me that sports/touring tyres will have more than enough grip, or should i go for an outright sports tyre? Hi everyone, I'm a noob so please treat me gently! I've recently bought a YBR125 ex-demo from my local Yamaha dealer (50 miles on the clock!) and it's a great bike except that it's developed a squeak while I'm riding that sounds like it's coming from the back wheel. It seems to appear over about 10mph. If I spin the back wheel with the bike on the stand there's no squeak there. Has anyone else experienced this / know what it could be please? I guess I'll have to take it back to the dealer but that's such a pain..! Any advice gratefully received.

Hi I own a wonderful L reg SR-125 whilst I get to grips with not wrapping myself round a tree with the joys of motorcycling. Anyway I have a puncture and trying to establish (without access to my bike) if the tyres are tube or tubeless. Does anyone know?

Hi Recently bought a SR 250 Classic 1999 with only 6000 km on the counter. My problem that it rattles for the first 5 minutes of driving. It says that its important to bleed the oilfiltercover after a oilchange and I did that. The day after the oilfilter reservoir is completely empty and I bleed it again. Somehow the oil seems to run back. There is a kind of oilvalve in the oilplug at the button of the engine, could this be leaking ? I run 20W50 REDLINEOIL. When warm the engine runs almost noiseless but the rattling when starting up scares me. There are no oil spill from the engine. Any ideas, anyone ? kind regards Jan

Hello all, I have a 1993 SR125. I discovered that the forks were bent by the previous owner crashing (I assume) and decided to replace them so I bought some off ebay. Unfortunatly I hadn't realised that the later 1999-onwards model has a different fixing between the top of the forks and the top yoke, plus the disc isoon the other side. Of course the forks I have bought (I realised now) are off the later model! DOH! I have taken a few sets of forks apart before, so I have considered taking the stanchions out of the later forks and seeing if I could fit them to the old bottoms. Before I rip them all apart and see what happens (or sell them again on …

Hi there, ive managed to smash the glass etc on my SR125 - and just wondering if the glass is the same as the old ones (with square dials and built in headlight) ? As i think a whole new unit is going to be hard to come across - unless anyone else knows anywhere to get one from ? any help would be great thanks.

Anyone here have any experience with the SRX 250? I bought a very beat up '87 but, unfortunately, there seem to have been very very few of these imported to the USA. I'm having a ton of trouble finding any decent parts (meaning I'm looking at auction sites and finding equally beat up ones), a battery, and absolutely ZERO luck finding tires. Anyone have any suggestions for me? Anyone know of any useful interchangeability with other Yamahas? General advice? Thanks.
