Hi all, Has anyone done this?? Is it an easy job and does it make the bike look a lot better??? I am thinking of doing this but dont want it to become a hassle when i want to take someone on the back as i dont think the other half will be too chuffed if i have to spend hours doing it to take her out on it!!!! =P Cheers!!!! Has anyone experience of using and fitting a Renntec sportrack/luggage rack to a 2006 R1? If so, what kind of luggage did you use with it and how much did you carry on the rack? Renntec only recommend a 2.5kg maximum load on the rack which doesn't seem much to me....I want to use a waterproof barrelbag on the rack for weekends away etc any replies gratefully accepted cheers Steve

Has anyone got either brand on one of the XJ6 range ? My bars are bent , hardly noticeable to some folk but i know it was dropped and the bars are bent . Starting to bug me now when riding , slightly lower on the right hand side . So I am going to replace them . I want bars that are not much different in height to what the xj6 has standard, renthal sell several versions and give rise height measurements . I cannot find a measurement for the rise of the standard bar and obviously mine are bent so no point measuring mine . Anyone help with finding measurement , providing a measurement or actually have some fitted. Thank you , David.

i have a 58 plate yamaha xt 125x and recently replaced the stock indicators with smaller led indicators but the indicators now flash at douple speed as if i have a bulb out. i know this is due to the lower wattage used for led's and have bought a yamaha indicator relay unit, my question is where does the damn thing go haha. any help would be appreciated thanks

Hi, i've read that the SR125 is meant to have three positions for the choke. Mine only has one and it goes right back in when I let go of it. So i'm guessing that it's meant to stay out by it's self when working properly? So how would I go about changing it? And is it a complicated job? I'm only 17 and this is my first bike so I've got no clue when it comes to the mechanics of it. Also, can you leave the choke out and ride the bike at the same time while it gets hot and then just let it back in later? It''s just that it takes me like 10 mins to get that bike on the road, cos i've gotta put all the gear on, then stand there while i hold the choke out and then keep r…

Ok, folks, New rider (8 months, 13k miles), first post, 98 Royal Star Tour Deluxe, use it to commute 225 miles roundtrip three times a week... My bike stalls almost every day at the same exact spot on the interstate. I gas up after about an hour and a half on the road, head down the on-ramp, gun it to merge, and the bike stalls and won't restart. I wait a minute on the shoulder, the bike restarts, and is (usually) fine. It also happens if I stop at a rest area. If this isn't weird enough, it never happens in the morning, when I also top off (can't make it 225 miles on a tank). The morning stops are a little longer since I grab a coffee. So... 1. Warm engi…

hi all. i just bought my first 'proper' bike - Thundercat. I used to ride one of those thumping beemers. I couldn't belive how hard it was to find a good forum for Yamys. So- hi and help. Hi all you yamaha nuts! im new to these sport machines, just chopped in my Busa for a 2001 R1 and i'm 'king stoked with it! only thing is the custom pipes somone fitted meant the exup valve was disconnected (electrically and mechanically) the bike runs fine but the fricking rev counter keeps dancing to get my attention! does anyone know how to fool the ecu into thinking the servo is still there and display the correct Rpm? cheers folks!!!

hello... i have a little problem with my rev counter on my r1,, she is on a 98 reg... when im riding her the rev counter flicks from 4, to 2, to 5, to 6rpm.. this has just stared to happen,, its anoying the hell out of me...this is happening all the time... can anyone tell me vwhat to do to stop this happening.. its as tho the rev counter is sticking then nothing at all,, on 0 rpm then flicks up to 4 or 5 rpm... its doing me head in so please if anyone no,s the problem and could help me then i would be very gratefull...... cheers for your time and someone please help!!!!!

hey all i own an r125 and it has developed a reving problem when under load. its a hard one to explain but..... when under load in any gear but most noticable in 3,4,5 if i pull the throttle back instead of it being a smooth brrrrrrrrrrrrrr from 4k upto redline it sort of stops and starts more like brrr,rrr,rrr,rrr,rrr,rrr if you understand me lol.... Ive changed the plug and it made it a little better and i have checked the air filter and that seems ok the oil level is fine and is on the dipstick does anyone have a clue what is causing this. thanks Jas

I was wandering how many miles it takes to run the bike in from 0 miles and also what revs you should change the gears at before its run in. and also whats the max speed you should not go over?? thanks!

All, Would anyone be interested in riding out with me? Have a Fazer 600 and just bought the MT 03. I usually ride out with my bloke but he was a bit over ambitious 2 weekends ago and has his leg in a cast. Not a happy chappy and obviously not much good to ride out with! From what I've read, because I passed my car test before 2001 I'm allowed to ride an insured 50cc scooter (31mph limit) on the road without taking any tests, and can do this without L plates for as long as I like. And carry a passenger. But I was wondering does this law mean I can also ride a 50cc motorbike (eg dt50) under the same rules?

Hi Guys I recently bought a 2008 R6 with 915 miles on the clock. Absolutely love it to death. However, over the last two days its developed a bit of a problem and i am hoping some of the veterans on here may be able to offer advice. When i take the bike for a ride in the morning i.e. from a cold start, there is no problem at all... everything feels as though it should do. When i take it for its second ride of the day, i feel like i've done ten rounds with mike tyson by the end of it. When i release the throttle it feels as though i am being thrown forward. My thighs kill cos im hugging the tank to maintain position, my wrists kill because i'm constantly pushing myself …
