Hi Need to order some touch up paint/spray paint from a company on the web. however they need a paint code. Anyone know where they are on a 2004 R6? I have seen a white sticker under the seat, however im not quite sure if this is it and if so which reference will mean something to them? Anyone help Thanks Rich

HI All, new to the board and first post, although i have searched for solutions here and cant find one for this yet. does anyone know how to find out what the name of the colour or the actual code is for newer bikes? i have a 2009 YBR 125 and need to spray some of the panels and mudguard but have had no luck getting a match on the colour code so far. I have seen red mudguards on ebay which state vivid red but not sure if there was more than one red produced or if vivid is a proper description by yamaha? any help much appreciated, Rob

Can anyone recommend a good day glow / fluorescent paint to do wheels in. I'm looking for a really bright orange and yellow that doesn't chip much and can be lacquered in with Acrylic or Cellulose. Cheers - J

Ive been looking for a set of throwover panniers for my cat so i can whisk my better half away for the weekend, but in all the pictures ive seen the positioning seems to cover or severely restrict access to the rear pegs for pillions. Is it possible to carry pillion with soft panniers or do i need to buy the hard ones? Also any recommended brands?

Does anybody no where I can get the Yamaha Tank Decals from for my virago xv750 (1983) the ones ive come across the screw hole are to far apart (106mm) mine are 102mm centre to centre any help would be appreciated thank Gary

Anybody got any tips on getting more power out of a 03 or 04 R1?? I also have a 03 R1 for sale runs great very fast!! Will run 5.50's and 5.60's all day long with a 140 pound rider in the 1/8. It has a full Yosh exhaust, power comander, air shifter, and nos. It has 145 hp stock at the back tire without the nos and 74 foot pounds of torque. With nos its 248 hp and 135 foot pounds of torque. Asking $8000.00 or I will give $2000 and my bike for a 04-05 R1

hi im new to this site i have a 05 r6, and the only performance mods on it, it a high mount leo vince titanium exhaust. i would like to do a few performance upgrades to get a little more torque, and roll-on response without dropping my top speed or runhin higher rpm's what do you suggest, how big of gains can i get from a pcIII? is it worth it? is the generic leo map good-enough? do you suggest a 520 kit? different teeth? k&n? not trying to do anything too radicle or spend too much money, but not a big deal. what do you suggest?

I trying to get my 1981 XS400 on the road and I just cleaned the tank and petcock. When I reattached it, gas leaked from where the petcock attaches to the tank. I assume that the o-ring needs to be replaced and I ordered a new one; however, I wondered if anyone uses any kind of sealant, silicone or oil on the o-ring to help with the seal. So finally got the bike fixed but I haven't been able to figure out which position is which. Looking at it from the left hand side, the arrow in the 9 o'clock position is ON, right? Which is reserve - 7 o'clock or 10 o'clock? Both make my bike run like poo after a minute. Maybe the reserve setting bummed out? Any help appreciated!

Hi guys, Sorry I'm a bit of a noob but I got my YZF-R125 yesterday and I want to take the pillion foot rests off (not insured to use so no point having them). Had a look earlier and I think I just gotta take the plastic panel under the tail off in order to get the pegs out once unbolted...but I cant work out how to do this, I'm not too keen on taking bits off willy nilly due to just getting the bike. If someone knows the best/easiest way to take them off a guide in doing so would be very helpful Sorry for the probable siplicity of the task, Ali

Hi all. Newby here from Kiwi land. I have an 85 RD350 F which I find upon inspection, has both expander rings broken into 3 or 4 bits. The bits were still intact in the lower scraper ring grooves (thank goodness) but I have to ask, are they needed? The piston and rings are sweet, so I don't need to replace, and I don't want to have to order 2 complete ring sets, just to get 2 x expander rings. I'm thinking I can leave them out. Any thoughts?

Hi I've purchased a beautiful r6 2007, a month after the error code 20 started showing(air sensor stuff) Returned it to shop, where I'm paying a three yeAr warranty off monthly. They have had it numerous times now, replacing sensor wires/air filters box. Nothing has rectified the error, only made it worse...bike runs fine, just a little sluggish on start up to get warm when error code is on, if it does not come on it sparks up beautifully like the beast she truly is. So I'm over it and want to cancel my warranty, surely I can without having to fork out another cent, as they have not been able to solve it..( call themselves mechanics) bit scary!
