Hey all, I need to find a road bike for a female rider who is 5' 4", not particularly long in the leg, can cope with around 27-28" easy enough so could probably stretch to . Looking for something like a Bandit or Fazer, will need a good 4-600cc on the engine, reasonable performance, easy maintenance, cheap and/or plentiful parts, decent fuel economy. Shaft drive an advantage, as is "nice colour" but neither is essential. Brand preferably Yammie, will be fine with Honda, Suzi and *maybe* even Kwak. So... what's out there?

Hey everyone! I'm new to the site and have been riding my 2006 Yamaha FZ 6 for about a year. It is a great Bike. I absolutely love it! In the first 6 months I put over 10K on it commuting and riding the canyons on the weekend. Unfortunately I laid it down about 5 months ago and after a broken wrist and foot I'm just now putting it back together. Between the healing time and family time it's taken a while. The front fairing is jacked and not usable. The guages and lights are usable but it looks like its going to take more than $1000 to replace all the broken plastic. Fortunaly the frame is straight and the motor is perfect. I think I like the naked look and I'm tring t…

Ive been looking to upgrade to a larger bike for the past month now and Im seeing that it is an expensive business. Im thinking if Im going to go out and spend some serious money why not go for a license aswell. So far the 2013 Yamaha WR125R has caught my eye, Im 19 at the moment and going by law (I think) I could learn to ride up to 350cc bikes but I thought hey why not just start low see how I get on. Ive heard that you can de restrict these 125s aswell? But again Im new to the scene and eager to find out more. Any Information would be appreciated! Cheers, John

I've been trying to choose new pairs of front and rear indicators for my 07 R6. I've been doing research into the available options for weeks now (there are so many) and I'm getting closer to deciding which way I want to go. I was initially thinking of getting a tail tidy without indicator mounts and then getting an all-in-one rear light (the new tail light encompasses multi colour led's that act as the red tail light, brake light and orange indicators) and a pair of flush fitting clear front LED indicators. I'd still like to go down this route but the light's not road legal and I am concerned that the Police will be stopping me and fining me every opportunity th…

Alright- installed a R1 integrated tail on my seca 2- worked great for 3 weeks. Finally got a pair of led flush mounts- installed on the front... Now when I hit the switch left I get 4 ways... all lights blinking... and if I hit the switch right, the left front blinks and the right rear blinks HOW DOES THAT HAPPEN. Seriously I am at a loss now- I bought a new relay thinking perhaps it was shot... a nice new one built for LEDS ( I did have resistors in before but that seems to make no difference) Testing the power to the back lights is strange... if I disconnect the set of wires running to the tail/rear signals the whole system stops- relay stops firing et…

Ive started to ride my YBR 125 into work daily and started noticing some light scratches on the tank (where you would normally stick a tank guard) but i have no idea how they got there! or if they were there when i brought the bike. I would just stick a tank guard on it but i do not like the look of them and wanted to keep the tank as normal. I saw on the net Maguiars Scratch X which by the you tube clips (not sure if its just a gimmik) takes light scratches and scuff off your paintwork?. just wondering if anyone has used this or knows a better way to deal with light scratches? Cheers Andy

I've not been around on the forum for a while due to loosing my job last year and then starting a new business which has changed the way I live my life. One of the major changes is that I don't use my bike to travel to work everyday anymore. I've been so busy that I only manage to get out on my R6 once every week and sometimes only every fortnight! I'm working at changing this, but in having the bike sitting for a week at a time I've noticed a problem. The R6 has become very difficult to start after it has sat for a week. It fires up fine, but I have to keep the throttle open to about 6000 revs for about 10 seconds and then very slowly adjust the throttle, reducin…

There seems to be loads of XS400s about on this forum! I had two back in the 90's, a 79 road model and a SE that I did a fair amount of work on (note the nice clean wiring on the bars!). It usually had open drags on, but as we were going a long distance I'd fitted a motad when this was taken. Here's the current 'Rex's Speed Shop' Project Bike - a SR500 Street Tracker - my take on the flat tracker (boring to just copy a popular style when you can put your own twist to it ) All work carried out by the 'Speed Shop. Wiring and ignition will be custom built for this bike. There have been quite a few issues as the only remaining parts of the original bike are…

Hey all, First post! Just passed my test last November, and bought my first bike last week. Did my training on an XJ6 and loved it, so thought it would be a good first bike. I'm planning to move to London next month so bought the bike for commuting. Living in Edinburgh just now, and although the weather is not great, can't resist taking it to work nearly every day! (unless it's really icy or chucking it down!). A few people I know have bikes, and are telling me that I need to wash it every time I go out if there's salt on the roads. Is that correct? The last few days, I've come home, hosed it down, but by 8pm it's already pretty cold so I've put on the cove…
