Hello all, I am a new member... and as you here with most new members I have an issue. I am a new rider and a new bike owner. I look forward to hearing from everyone. I just bought a '91 FZR 600 with 19k miles. The bike is in good shape, but it had not been riden for a couple years... so I wanted to get the carbs cleaned out because idle was kind of rough. So after reading several good things from users about sea foam I gave it a shot... and I got myself in trouble... please read through and help... The way I used the foam was running the bike for a hour or so then letting it sit for a day, and repeating. I did this three times... the last time I let the bike…

I have done it this time...grrrrr...I was attempting to jet my 88 yamaha fz600....one of the steps was to drill the slide hole a little bit large with a provided drill bit.....well...I didnt see that there was more than one bit in the package....you guessed it....I used the bigger size.... How will this affect my carbs?...I am assuming that I will need to replace the vacuum slide (slide diaphram)..with a stock one...and drill the slide hole with the proper bit.... Thing is...I cant seem to find any of this parts or carbs on ebay....are there any other bikes out there that use this carb?...do you think I should be able to snag the vacuum slide off of it? Tha…

Ive seen people fitting R6 exhausts to there yamaha R125's.... Is this easy to do? i mean surley the pipe would need to be modified? Help please Cheers, Charlie

Hello all, I just bought my wife a 1995 yamaha YZF 600 and was looking for a couple things (it's not her first bike but it is her first sport bike). I can't seem to find a haynes manual for this model anywhere (or any other brand for that matter). Can anyone suggest a source for a repair manual? Also, I've been watching Ebay, but if anyone has a source on plastics for this bike, feel free to drop me a note. This is my first Yamaha bike and so far we both really like it. Thanks in advance.

hi guys, just picked up 88fz600, will need to restore and go through, brakes/carbs/tune/tires, this is my first sport bike of this type, have rode them all now time to rip around! any help would be great..don't even have a repair manual yet thanx, b Rad

Hi, went to Hungary on my TDM850 a couple of weeks ago and ended up selling it over there (not planned) and flying home. When I got home I regretted it and quickly looked round for a cheap bike and put a deposit on a 1990 fz750 genesis which i'm picking up tonight. It was a spur of the moment buy as I don't know anything about these bikes having previously owned a few cx 500's, an sv650s then the TDM. Is there anything I should be wary of reliability wise? The bike and owner seem pretty straight. Does the K & N or any other filter for that matter really make much difference to sound or performance?

I have a 2001 R1 and was wondering if anyone was running the K+N airfilter and if it made any difference. Also would i need to get the bike rejetted if i fit one Thanks

Hello Everyone, I am a new rider with a YZF 600R. Recently my bike started allowing me to take off with the kickstand down. For obvious reasons I want to fix this. I've tried to find similar posts and have found very little. Sounds like some switch has gone bad. Any Advice?

Hi, everyone, Picked up my 2009 YBR 250 from local dealers and noticed on way home a distinct but not very loud metallic vibration at between 3.5 and 5k revs., accompanied by an irregular knocking. It's not there when I take the bike through this rev range when it's not in gear. I can't go any higher up the rev range as the bike has only done 75 miles so needs running in. I suspect something's not right with the transmission. It still has dealer warranty so I'm not too worried. Anyone out there got any ideas? Do I need to take it back to the dealers?

hi all, i currently have a 2012 yamaha ybr 125, ive seen a picture of somebody who swapped out there standard rear light unit for a clear l.e.d one, not sure if it was on here or not? does anybody know where i can get one of these from? ive tried ebay and google etc but had no luck thanks in advance guys

Hello everyone, My name is Hambo and I am having problems with my 1983 XS400 Maxim. Ive had it for 10 years with no major problems. I use it as a back up when my other bigger bikes get issues. So as you can imagine it sits for months at a time exept the occasional start up every 2 weeks. My problem is after I ride it for about 8-10 miles it loses power and will not go over 30-40 mph, Ive cleaned the carbs thoroughly(complete breakdown),dumped tank and added new gas, changed the oil and plugs every year, new coils and voltage regulator, new battery(AGM) this year but I cannot figure it out. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank You.
