Hi fellows, this is my first thread in this forum an I will start with a question regarding the front fork. Does the FZS 1000 Fazer (RN06) have a suspension cartridge inside the front fork or is the fork conventional? I would like to change the fork oil, if there is not a cartridge inside. Cheers noca

Hi I've got an 06 fazer 600 and after riding for just 60 miles I've got a numb bum! Has anyone bought a good aftermarket seat that provides better cushioning or has anyone got a new 08 fazer: the seat's suppose to be better designed! Thanks

Noticed today on my way to work that the speedo has stopped working & just sits at 0mph (everything else on instrument panel works fine apart from odometer). I know the speed cable has a connection box under the tank which I'm hoping may have come loose when my braided steel lines & risers were added on Saturday, but was wondering if anyone has experienced anything similar before I start dismantling the bike? Any comments would be appreciated, Graham

I am looking to get a replacement fairing for a 1998 FZS600, the fixing points on either side of the fairing have broken and the fairing is a little flexible in the winds. Would be great to get a replacement before winter settles, so a quick response is appreciated. Any idea on where I can get one, new preferably any colour, am in the process of restoring my Fazer to orginal condition and spec.

hi, could anybody help me out here ? i need to know what other rear brake calipers will fit the fzs600 fazer, as mine are seized and cant locate a decent replacement part and dont have the 250- 300 quid for new.any help would be appreciated as need to get her back on road asap!!!!cheers guys o7846531440 for a text reply

Hi everyone, I just got this bike from some old farmer out in the country. Needs a little bit if work to the ignition system but otherwise it's in excellent condition. I've run into a snag with the repairs, I cannot find a socket that will fit the spark plugs. I've tried a 5/8" spark plug socket, a 13mm and 14mm, none of them fit. Are there any other fazer owners here? Any tips would be appreciated.

Just bought a Zeal and I have read that the CDI can be modified to give the bike more power. Not that I want to (yet) but wouldn't mind doing it soon as apparently it doesn't affect the low down power at all just shifts peak power up to 14000. Its the FZR250 engine if that helps anyone. Also I've been looking for an exhaust as mine is a FZR 4 into 1 system but the standard Zeal system is a 4 into 2 so only one of the end cans is fitted. I wouldn't mind getting a nice can on to make it sound abit better. Got any ideas of what will fit? I don't mind making a bracket as long as it fits the link pipe OK. Thanks in advance, Carl

I was on my R6 and without warning it jumped out of gear , and could only get 3rd gear to get me home has any else had a slimmer problem ? or can anyone help with what the problem is ?? It's a 2000 yzf R6

I own a 99 r1 which i love but I heard that there had been snags with the gear selector spring breaking so I thought I would change it when the spring came it was thiner with less coils why is this can anyone help. also whilst im here my bike has 39000 miles on the clock is there any little snags that can pop up or is the r1 engine as hard as ive heard ta sheps :twisted:

May be a dumb question. But on a sport bike in normal riding position where should the wind hit the rider when it comes off the windshield? My bike has a double bubble windshield and I thought it was great cause I can duck behind it real good but when I'm in normal riding position it hits me right in the face a drives me nuts. But someone told me you want the wind directed at your chest to apparently lift your weight off your seat a bit. Is this true?

Hi I have just bought myself a genuine yamaha fazer belly pan for my 1000 of ebay and i dont have a bracket. are these brackets easy to make or Could anyone tell me where i can get a bracket from. if poss could you show me pics of bracket. Cheers Doug

Hi Everyone, I have just imported my 2008 R6 from Cape Town and have already taken it for an MOT, which it passed. In order for me to have my bike registered, I would need to get a European Certificate of Conformity. My bike is stock standard with the exception of the headlights, which is xenon instead of the standard halogen (so I can see better at night). I have been struggling to get this European CoC as Yamaha in Japan has been very slow to respond. My bike is probably the same version as that of European models with the exception of the dash which shows km/h. I would really appreciate it if I can get some advice on how to get this CoC instead of having to go through …

Hi, I have a fazer 600 1998, was wandering would there be much work in ditching the fairing & putting twin headlights on, only was wandering about the light brackets & the best place to fix a fly screen, has any one carried out this mod, would like to find out if poss, thanks. keith.
