Hi guys complete rebuild fzr 600 speedo/revs seem to be slow. Taking it easy running her in but feels faster then she reads can rev the t*ts slipping clutch was wondering if a common problem anywhere? New cable and worm approx 40k on the clocks engine obviously still tight as f**k

At the moment i own and ride a FZR750, i now have the money and the choice to get a 1000cc class bike, being a yamaha bloke i immeditly head for the R1, thing is i dont really know much about it. im after some user opinion off it not the dealer or website. i was going to go for the 07 model( my first brand new bike). is their any reviews knocking about yet. many thanks in advance

Hello ! I have been offered to buy a FZR-600 ( 1990 ) in wery good kondition. But since I'm no YAMAHA man, I need some help to do a good buy Any Input ? Between what years was it produced ? A couple of days ago I was reading on the WWW and on one place they stated that it was produceed from 1988 - 1999 ! Is this trou ? .

Hi All, As im sure you will all be able to see Im new to the site so hello :-), I have some questions about my newly aquired FZR 400, Firstly I have the two round headlights but I would like to convert to a more aggresive style and go with a single headlight, Is there an easy conversion that can be done as just the headlight or do I need a whole new fairing conversion? Next up is what is all this numbering after the bike name like 3TJ etc? And how do I know which model is mine? hi every one,this is my first post,just about to turn 40 and decided to do something ive been meaning to do for ages- take my bike test. booked in early doors on the 17th april, just bought my trusty steed 1990 fzr1000 exup for £1200.obviously cant ride legally yet so took it to a local airfield and oodalally the only thing missing is the wings-this thing goes like stink.i must admit a great feeling a mixture of excitement adrenalin and nerves,but i think i will take my cousins advice who has had sport bikes all his life-take a month to get used to the bike-ride out on my own and dont try and keep up with anyone until i get to know the bike. will keep u posted on how the …

hi guy's this is my first post, so Hello everyone nice to meet you all. Im interested in buying a yamaha FZR 1000 exup genesis 1989 / 90 model. Its done 15k miles, and is in good ish condition. Is this bike reliable? - will it start if I dont use it for a week. I've ridden it already and the power is amazing. Its good on insurance for me because its an old bike. Do they have any known major faults? or anything i should look out for in particular (im a trainee mechanic)

Hi all. I'm new to this site and currently own a T-reg XJR1300 (see gallery) but am thinking of getting an FZR1000 EXUP RU, the one with the USD forks. I have an idea for a project but need to know if these are good bikes or not and can you get away without using the EXUP valve. Any thoughts.

hi can anyone tell me if the exup servo should move to reset itself when turning on ignition as mine doesnt not sure if my servo or valve works low power under 3.5k then she flies

is it possible to fit thunderace 1000 fairings to the 1992 fzr 1000 is the frame the same ...........

Hi all............noob member here !! Just bought the above on a '91 reg. It's got seized front calipers. Now i've been told that the original calipers left a lot to be desired. SO: 1. Is this a rubbish statement? 2. If it's fairly accurate............can i swap them for a 6 pot pair from another bike? Don't want any soddin' about with spacers or adaptors etc. Just a 'unbolt the old.........bolt on the new' fix is what i'm after. Thanks guys !!

ive just brought a fzr250r and the tank has got crap on the inside of it i was wondering if there was ant way of getting it out without cutting the tank in half

I'm rebuilding the remnants of an FZR400 3EN1. I bought the frame without a reg. number or V5 (just a chassis number). Anyone know how (if?) I can (re?) register it to get a reg. number and V5 - preferably non-Q?

Just bought this bike and absoloutly love it just a couple of things id like help with please if possible a) What clocks can i put on it that read in mph as this is an import bike looked for FZR600 clocks on ebay but only has KMH clocks on there. My bike seems to be using a lot of coolant am using tesco coolant with antifreeze and having to completely refill the coolant resivoir every 50 miles or so. Any hekp appreciated Thanks

Hi All, This is my first post after rading most of the posts in the forum. My question is, what is the red light on the tacho for? I have just bought a tatty FRZ400 3EN1 and the red light on the tacho has come on a couple of times but I have no idea what it means. Any help or ideas would be appreciated

hi, ive recently been involved in an accident on my bike and it has been written off but i am hoping to repair it myself as i am a mechanic. the bike is a 1992 fzr400rr and im having some trouble finding parts for it. does anyone know if all fzr400 parts are the same or can i only fit 3tj parts or would anything from a 600 fit. the main parts im after are forks, clocks, foot rest and gear selector, bars and subframe. any ideas will be appreciated.
