Got my EXUP pretty much sorted now, valve clearances done, exup valve sorted and set up, carbs balanced etc. In town though, I find second gear a bit tall for some really slow corners, especially up hill? Below 25mph, second gear is about 2000rpm and the bike tends to chatter below this speed if the throttle is wound open much :? Is this normal? Apart from this she rides very nicely and goes really well. Cheers

hi Everybody, as an old 'pootler' who enjoys a recreational ride throughout all seasons, am looking at my next potential bike - either a F1 Fazer ABS or a FZ1 ABS vs. a TDM900. Before I get to the TDB900 questions, I would like to understand... 1. What's the difference between the two FZ1s? 2. I prefer the look of the Naked FZ1/Fazer (the one with the black engine + underbelly cover) over the half-cowled Sports version, as I would definitely add a screen thereafter...so, which screen is best, and is this a good plan? TDM900 Questions 3. This seems a great machine, yet hardly anyone seems to buy them - why is that? 4. As I've browsed through the whole s…

Hey, Finally got all the problems ironed out and have just lost all faith in this bike. What would you say is a fair price for it? Yamaha TZR50, 53 plate in blue. Fitted with a Polini 80cc Big Bore kit with Race Reeds to match, a full Arrow Race exhaust, After market air filter, Meta alarm system and immobiliser, Data tag(Between the alarm and the datatag it saved me £80-90 on insurance),tyres have plenty of tread in them. Had a top end rebuild 80 miles ago including replacement of the piston and top end gasket(I have the reciepts with a date to prove work). I changed the oil 2 days ago to fresh 2 stroke fully synthetic, Just cleaned the carb and fitted a fres…

Hey! I bought a Seca II about 4 months ago and I am loving every minute of it. Its red in color. It is in the shop now though. I am having the wheels painted white. I think the white wheels with red bike would look nice. I am trying to find lower fairing (engine cover part) for the Seca II. Is there fairing from any other bike that can be modified to fit the Seca II? I really hope you guys have a solution. Thanks alot. -Roops

I notice we don't have a specific area here for those of us that have taken the plunge and bought one of the MT series of Sports Torque motorbikes.. To that end I have created a domain and set up a mini-website and forum just for us. Feel free to pop by when ever you get the chance. Hope to see you soon! MT-Owners-Club.org.uk

Hi. I have recently purchased a FZR600 '90 model, and the rev counter dont work!! Are there any known problems with this model. I have a 3HE model and the CDI unit i believe is the wrong one. Its number is TID 14-82, which i think is of a 1000cc model. Should this be a problem for the running of the rev counter? Are there any tests i can perfom to prove whether its the CDI unit or the rev counter at fault? Been told to take a pulse test but what does that mean? Cheers Peter

Does anyone know any RWHP figures for the first of the Fazer 1000's? I realise that every dyno is different and that they should only be used for comparison before and after stuff. But, has anyone got any figures? I'll start looking meself.

Good advice required please. Recently bought a 2006 Fazer 1000 - which I adore and which runs sweet but has an increasing problem developing. It will suddenly want to die causing it to momentarily fade and pick-up again, and will do this for some time. A dianostic fault code appears, reference to which states: 'the atmospheric pressure sensor voltage and the intake air pressure sensor voltage differ greatly'. Can anyone please give me a clue what this might actually mean and how to rectify the troubling problem. I have to travel across Spain in a couple of weeks. I am mechanically fairly adept, but a real numty when it comes to electronics. Thanks club member…

My FZS 1000 is a French import. The importer tells me it is not restricted. How can I tell if this is true or not without using a dyno? How easy is it to derestrict French import Fazer 1000's? Thanks! Nomad

Hi Guys, New to the list and looking for some info on end cans for a 2003 Fazer 1000. Smaller and lighter, a bit louder but not obnoxious, a bit more power is obviously a good thing, smoother throttle response would be nice. What's the best bang per buck I can expect from what's available in the UK? Thanks for any advice you can offer, Nomad.

Hi all, new to the motorbike scene so be gentle... I've just bought a 1999 Fazer 600 after passing my test in Feb with 34000mls for £900. It has full history and looks to have been well maintained though it does look like it has been used as a commuter. After riding it, it seems ok and very quick(for me anyway). My question is about the cooling fan and what temp will it kick in as yet i've not seen it working but not knowing much about bikes not sure if they come in as often as a car's cooling fan.... P.S it doesn't have a temp gauge just the warning light on the rev counter which hasn't came on and hope it never does. That's assuming it works...
