i have a 2006 yzf 600r would an after market exhaust from an R6 or R1 or 750, 1000 fit and or fit on my bike if it was the same year. i would appreciate any feedback. thanks jay

Hello folks!!! I am looking to upgrade my exhaust on my 600 thundercat (53 plate) and was wondering which would be best to fit!! Also would an R6 exhaust fit a thundercat?? Thanks

small hole in exhaust where the silencer is supposed to slip on.Unfortunately someone has tried to remove the silencer and has just messed it up and caused a small gap and now the exhaust is blowing and will fail next MOT.I have put silencer repair bandage round it but i'm not convinced it will pass next MOT like that. Took the bike to a local car repairer who is good at welding and he said if he welds it on its on permanent. Just wondering if anyone has any ideas as to whats the best thing to do.

Putting a new slip on on my bike, just wanted to see if anyone has any suggestions... I am on the fence. I am leaning towards a micron, sato, or arata. I really like the deep, throaty sound and am not too worried about gain (I am 110lbs, I think my bike is fast enough for me, lol). We don't really have any noise restrictions here either, so that is not an issue. Also, I would really prefer a high mount. So if you have any feed back I'd love to hear it. Cheers:)

A mate of mine has a RXS100 with a rotton exhaust. He says he cant find one anywhere. Anyone on here have any ideas?

hi friends any feed back on exhaust mods for FJR1300 ? I wanted to modify exhuast with mild deeper bass effect but not to an extent of irritating say about 3-4 decibels more than standard .any suggestions ?

Ive just managed to blow a few holes in my 4into1 pipe on my 400XJR. Anyone know were to get a new one? I need help fast? dont say weld, it is not looking good.

Own a 2006 Yamaha Virago 600 want to know if drilling out the exhaust pipes will give me the added volume I want. And if it is possible to do this

Was giving my bike a good clean yesterday and took the baffles out the exhaust to polish the tip... its my FZ6, and it has LeoVince Evo II Slip-ons on sound reallly nice without the baffles, not quite as loud as my SV at low revs but screams when neering the redline. Whats the legality of this? tempted to leave them out... Cheers Matt

Hey peeps i got my fz1-n last week and im looking at replacing the exhaust ! ive seen a vid by (COPPERDAWG ) on youtube he removes the exup valve and cables and then continues to gut the cat by removing the honeycomb material ! do i have to do this for a slip on can and will i have to get a remap ?

Hi.looking at removing my exhaust on my xj6s to clean up and paint and remove the stones that sit on top of the exhaust just before the box. Would you recommend that I replace the manifold gasket x 4 or could I reuse these? although my bike is approx. 30 months old but before I had it its been used in the British weather and tarnished it.also thing of replacing the nuts what hold the exhaust on to the manifold with stainless steel ones. Would this be wise do you think. many thanks. xj6s.

Can someone explain why I am having such a hard time finding a 4 into 2 exhaust replacement for my 83 XJ750M ? I've been to dozens of online stores and all I can find is 4 into 1. The only problem with the 83 Midnight Maxim I just bought is it needs a new exhaust. Is this why I got it so cheap? other than the exhaust it looks and runs like new.

Hi, I own a ybr 125 but want abit more power from it or make it sound better. I was wandering are there any exhaust cans you can get?? or change anything on the bike itself so it gives abit more power or anyhting thing else becuae i dont know much about bikes. Thanks!

I thought it was a bad joke when Yamaha hiked their bike prices this year (R6 from £7999 to £8999, R1 from £10999 to £12499 etc.) Then once you've shelled out for the bike I could hardly believe how much Yamaha charge for their aftermarket parts and accessories... £140 for a new screen (R1), £165 for a plastic rear seat cowl (R1 and R6), £55 for a pair of rear pillion peg covers (R6). I've found myself looking on eBay for parts but it seems its hard to find decent genuine kit. There are a couple of genuine seat cowls up for sale each month, and there's a set of rear pillion peg covers for good money, but on the whole it looks like there's no option than to buy afterma…

Hi again guys Going to look at an '89 1000 EXIP tomorrow (twin headlight, rwu forks). Apart from front discs/calipers, exup valve and a bit of clutch rattle is there anything else to look out for? I know FZ750s pretty well and the motor is basically the same so shouldn't hold any surprises. Oh yeah, it's done 28k miles. Cheers Rich

Took my EXUP for a dyno run today. It's all standard apart from a K&N filter element. The power is measured at the crank (not sure why they do it this way but they do) so allowing about 10% for transmission losses it's doing about 125 at the wheel which is good enough for me. The tester did comment that it's running very rich and sooty - something like 7.5%co (should be nearer 1.5) which is probably down to worn emulsion tubes in the carbs but said it's still making lots of power It's an 89 model with 28k on the clock.
