My son and I recently fixed up this bike and it runs great, but has trouble starting. The fuel system looks clean and choke circuit is not clogged, but it isn't getting fuel when choked. If you put a little fuel in one of the cylinders it starts right up and runs fine. Any suggestions?

I have not ridden a bike in too many years ( decades even ) but now have the time and inclination to return to a bike I never owned, but wished I had. I have been trying to read up on the above bike, there seems to have been some manufacturing outsourcing to other countries for this bike ( Brazil ? ) and if so, are they as good ? If not how do I tell where it came from without s/n or similar. One comment I saw said they often stalled in the rain, surely not ? If I get to viewing a possible bike, does this model have any specific quirks I should out for ? A few adverts seem to offer very low mileage < 20k, for something approaching 17-18 years old, is this normal. …

I have a 2007 FZ6 S2 and am having problems trying to find a waterproof breathable cover for my bike. I had an Oxford Stormex Large cover which fit before I put the top box carrier on, but now of course, won't fit. It has added approx. 1ft in length to the bike. Also just bought an Oxford Rainex Large cover but unfortunately it's not tall enough though was almost long enough. Please can anyone recommend me a good quality, waterproof, breathable cover that you think may fit my bike WITH the carrier. Quite desperate as I haven't been able to use the top box because I can't find cover to fit! Also please bear in mind that the bike has high mirrors and screen. Any advice grea…

Hi all , I am looking for some advice on an exhaust system . I currently own a 1985 MaxximX 750 liquid cool. NOTE: this is not the maxxim 750 or the maxxim 700. The problem with this exhaust is there is a few spot with weld and the rest is not that strong anymore. I want to cut the exhaust after the down pipes and then go 4-1 into a GSX-R flange with a GSX-R pipe . Now how much or any will this affect the carburators? will I need to change the jets ? This bike is originaly equipt with a 4-2 exhaust. Is there anything I should beware before attempting ? I have previously looked to replace the complete exhaust with an aftermarket, but none are availlable for thi…

Hi guys, I decided that I will either custom paint my Yamaha FZR400 Genesis or either order full set of original stickers. I would rather custom paint it but I have no idea where should I ask about this. I live in Sunderland, Tyne & Wear, UK and looking for private person or a company that is specialised in custom painting or are able to create stickers for mu original body. For custom painting I was thinking about Green Flames or something original that no one have And for set of stickers something that will make my bike look good than just white with FZR stickers at the side. If you know such places please post their addresses here or contact numbers. …

Ok, so I layed her down 2 months ago and bent the rear sub-frame. Now I starting a naked streetfighter project and want to cut off the rear sub-frame and custom fab a new solo/buell xb12 style seat. I know that building the subframe will be tricky but im more conserned about were the seat meets the tank, and if there are any seats out there(in that style) that will fit?. From what I have gathered I dont think that the buell seat will match up with the tank shape. If any one has any Ideas let me know, im having a hard time finding a seat that will fit and im trying to avoid making a whole new custom seat. Thanks!! Pics help... Any One?

Hey, I have just finished fitting my new Cyclone C11 Alarm System. It talks to you, an has a very good overtaking alarm which alerts other drivers of your presence when overtaking. The 125DB siren will pierce the ears of anyone who tries to mess around with the bike. Just ask if anyone wants any further information on it or any help with fitting.
