Hi there everyone, just finished a virtual concours rebuild of my Candy Blue 84 RD125LC 12A UK model, i have fitted a period Micron and im sure these used to nip up running standard jets with a pipe fitted. Any help with the jetting/needle clip position etc required for the Micron would be greatfully accepted. Thanks in advance !

Tomorrow I'm going to look at an 86 Fazer which I know nothing about except it seems like a good price and looks good in a picture. I have had a KZ650 Kaw, have an XS650, had a Virago too. So this in not my first bike. I know the general things to look for on a bikes condition but not this model specifically. What to look for?

I just picked up my first bike, 1986 FZ 600. I am new to street bikes but familiar with motorcycles in general since i used to race motocross, this might seem like a stupid question but the fuel on/off switch on my bike i cannot figure which is on and off. I just want to make sure. Thanks KyleM

Hello , Is it worth restoring ? Not work my bad . A friend of mine gave me this bike , i'm not sure where to begin . It needs a complete over hall . Looking it over with out even trying to start it i can see it's going to need alot of work . It's been sitting out side for 4 or 5 years , plus it was sitting at some back yard bike shop for who knows how long . As it is i have other projects that are in front of this so i'm in no rush . I'll just buy parts here and there to start . But is it really worth it ? i don't see many of these bikes around but i also have not looked very long either . Are parts hard to find ? your 2 cents will be wel…

hey, I'm completely new to motorbikes, and just purchased an '87 DT125R. I was wondering if anyone knew where I could get hold of a copy of the owner's manual (the yamaha site has no earlier than 2000 - i dunno how much changed '87 to 2000 but i'd imagine a fair bit). Also, what about a Haynes manual for it. The Haynes website only has a manual that covers the DT125R from '88 onwards. Again, I dunno for sure but I'm assuming there were significant changes from '87 to '88 (otherwise, why not include the '87 model in the same manual?)? cheers.

Can someone with a similar bike ,tell me what color the wires are for the connection at the gas tank , for the gas gauge? I have no wires there now (tank) and want to hook something up. I see a green connector not being used hanging off the frame near the underside of the tank. I'm wondering if these are the wires? Kevin

Hi, I just picked up my new (to me) 87 FZ600 yesterday afternoon. There are a couple of things I've noticed and I figured I'd ask you guys for advice. First, the front brake lever goes all the way to the handlegrip. It does stop the bike when I roll it forward in the garage. But I assumed the lever would stop maybe half an inch before hitting the grip. The pads on boths front brakes are good, so it's not because the pads are worn out. Is it because I need to bleed the front brakes? If so, how do I do that? What else could be the problem? The previous owner did a nice thing for me and put a new rear tire on the bike for me. But I've noticed that it's a 130/…

Hello guys My little brother has an 87 FZ600 and I took it apart over the winter to fix it up a bit. What would be the pilot screw settings for these carburetors? The manual says either "preset" or "2.5 turns out" depending on which model. I'm not sure which model it is. When I removed the screws from each carb, I documented the settings but they can't be right. They were 3,2.5,4 and 5 turns out.The bike had very stumbled low speed acceleration , but speed up a bit and it takes off like a rocket. What do you guys think I should set the pilot screws at? Kevin

Hey guys and gals, I have this bike siting in the back of my shop. Its a 600cc 86 or 87 yamaha sport bike. What could it be? Where can I find information on the bike. There are no body panles or modle number. Is there a vin decoader because there is a Vin on the bike. There is only 13K on the bike but it has been sitting a long time and needs a ton off work. As of now it needs tires carbs body parts keys and a title LOL. What is the bike worth. Thanks Jordan

I bought this bike awhile back and have never gotten it to run right sometimes it will fire right up and hit on all 4 and some time it runs on 2 cylenders sometimes it wont run at all I did some reading on here and unplugged cleaned and plugged back in the connections from the coil it seemed to help for about a minute then it went back to its old ways. I also unplugged the connections for the Ignition box under the tank and when I plugged it back in it was better to but always goes back to running like crap any suggestions or advise would be greatly appreciated thanks
