Hi guys and girls, wondered if you can help i recently bought a Yamaha TZR 125 (1989) model and the bodywork is a bit shabby. Does anyone know where i can pick up new fairings (preferebly custom)? Also the 1989 model looks small were the 1990's models look much bigger, is it possible to use 1990's fairings on a 1989 frame cause i love my bike and want it to look as good as it makes me feel to ride it

hi this my first post an my first yamaha tzr 125. well the problem is wen i ride the bike its got no power till 7000 revs an then the power will kick in. i find my self holdin in the clutch till 7000 revs an then lettin it out to get power [only done it a few times no more than 5]only had the bike 1 week to this date 17/03\10 ride it once. so can any one help or give me some info i think its got some thing to do with the power valve [correct me if im rong] i think its stayin open or something my m8 who i got it off has had the head an barrel skimed an new pistion an rings be for i got it an i think thats wen the prob started. its a 1990 model any help i will be very great…

hi im new to this i just bought a yamaha tzr 125 r 1995. the problem is that wen i turn it on i use the starter button it wont start but all i hear is the starter motor going round im wondering weather you have any advice on this as i am thinking gettin a new battery to see if it works better my dad mechanic but he says the starter motor seems fine if any other suggesters will be much appreciated. he thinks it the bit in the middle of the starter motor. when i bump it it starts fine and when i go for good run, it get warm and i turn it off it starts straight away on the button thanks.

i have a yamaha tzr 50 which has been derestricted recently it has been cutting out after riding for about 5 mins then keeps doing it...i have had it apart and cleand out the carb fuel tank and such which went fine for about 3 days then same problem she cuts out i roll with her thwen she dies lights go out but the dash lights stay on i did notice that when i revved the oil light gets brighter depending on how much i rev....so i did it again and just 10 mins ago i went for a ride and if i try to for example kick it into 3rd gear she sounds horrible and wont go above 50KM she does do 90km max so yea then it feels like someone slammed on the breaks and i begin to slow down b…

Hi iv'e had a 05 plate TZR 50 since october now and im now thinking of getting a bigger bike and money is always a problem. I would love to keep the bike as its the best looking 50 around and it handles like a dream but now i want to get onto a bigger bike. I was wondering if anyone could give me some advise on how much i could get for it. Everything is standard except it is de-restricted always had the best oil used. top speed i have had out of it is 65 mph down a hill and 60mph on the flat its got brand new tyres but the fairing like most 50s around is a little bit scratched (not from me i should add) so yeah if anyone could give me some advise that would be wicked Che…

Hi, i am Milan form Serbia, i bought my yamaha 1 week ago, and it have some problems that i cant solve.. First.. It cant start with electric start, only on push, on push it starts in 1meter, it has spark when i press electric starter button, but i goes to 400RPM and it cant start.. i boungt new battery today, but same.. Second.. Fuel leaks from left side under the stator, i opened it, and is leaks from the middle of engine, inside trough and under stator and magnet.. every time i open the fuel is starts to leak from under stator or crank case, i checked engine, and carb but there is no leaking from carb, and engine is dry on the top, it only leaks under the stator..…

I have bought a yamaha tzr 50 2004 plate, the speedo is stuck at zero! i have took it apart in the front wheel and cleaned it out then greased it back up but still no luck, im completly stuck. I would really appreciate some help, thanks

Hi, Can anyone give me some advice? My bike has been de-restricted and I can open the power valve manually, but this obviously loses power low down. So I want to fit a power valve servo to it. It's a 1988 TZR 125. What parts do I need and how do I retro fit it? Can I use the parts off of another bike or does it need to be a TZR125 from 87-89? Cheers, Paul.

Hiya, I bought myself a roadworthy Virago XV125 a few months ago and I had some good runs on it, now since it's run out of road tax I thought i'd declare SORN and not renew it just yet and get it in the garage to fix it up, fit new parts and give it a good clean. Does anyone have any pointers on where I can buy parts from and roughly how much, I deffinatley need a new chain, front and rear sprockets and because it's a German import i'd like a MPH speedo for it too. Hi, I have not long had a Yamaha TZR 50 53 plate. When you rev the bike the oil and temperature warning light get brighter. they are not one when the bike in on tick over. should this happen?? ALSO is there a manual for the bike?? Cheers Chris

Hey i was wondering if anybody could help. I recently had an attempted robbery on my bike and i have wired the barrel again which had the wires ripped out. I used different wires to extend how much wire was coming off the barrel and wired it all back up again. It started first time and i was really happy. The next day i tried starting again and it was just turning over and the engine management light was flashing with one long flash and 8 or 9 fast flashes after that. Can anyone help in what i have to do??

Hello! I'm hoping to do my DAS when I turn 21 in just over 2 months. Been thinking about it for a while, and finally set my mind on it. The main reason why I want a bike is purely for fun, and maybe to and from work every so often.
