Hey all, having been a keen rider for 3 years now I am looking to do my first track day, I have my 2 piece leathers now and I am just looking at which track to go to. I currently have an FZ6 so it should be great fun on a track, anyone have some experience of taking one on the track? Track wise I am looking at Castlecombe or Silverstone, silverstone looks more attractive with better facilities, better track with more space, not to mention for the same price you get more track time. But Castlecombe is a lot closer for me. Any one experienced on either or both that can give some advice? Lastly, I've been riding 600cc bikes for three years now, an xj600 diversion and an…

I have been in the Bristol area for 4 years now and havent made it along to the Weston Bike nights yet. So tomorrow we have organised a group ride out from Bristol to Weston for the bike night. Any one else thinking of heading along? We are heading along this route from Filton, and down Bristol Portway onto the A370. We will be setting off from Filton at 6pm, probably pass under the Clifton suspension bridge about 6:15. If anyone wants to join us feel free to catch us on route shown in the map. Lookout for an orange KTM supermoto and a FZ6: Google Maps Link Flyer for the event here: http://westonbikenight.rblr.co.uk/photos/2013/docs/WBNFlyer13.jpg

I am in Belgium for this one The big addition to this year’s festival is the inaugural Northwich Bike Festival. The festival committee, backed by Cheshire West and Chester Council is resolute in wishing to retain the ethos of the now relocated Thundersprint and Saturday at Moss Farm will be a biker’s paradise. Trophies will be awarded to various categories in a huge classic bike show sponsored by Mike Blake of P. E. Blake and Son of Little Leigh. Mike will be showcasing his own collection and will be joined by hundreds of other enthusiasts from across the region. With full camping facilities available a complete sell out is a certainty for the Saturday music bill…

The A616 from Clowne to Neward is a cracking road for bikers, then when you cross the bridge into Newark there is a free car park on the left to solo motorcycles, moored alongside this car park is a bar/restaurant pub ship, great fun and very different, its a short walk into Newark where there are plenty of bars and old type shops to browse around, and a Wetherspoons bar too, as you get to the outskirts of Newark on the A616 there is a biker friendly cafe called The Forest Corner with plenty of seating and great grub. Cheers all, keep it rubber side down, Ray.
