So I'm new here, been having issues with my bike for 2.5 weeks (no rides at all, feels like months ) and my parents said I should ask on a yamaha Forum. Anyway, I recently went out to get some petrol, and about 20m away from the station I lost all power and had to push it, I thought "Oh well, ran out of petrol", Filled up, keys in, started it... Except it wouldnt start, I tried choke on, choke off, neutral gear, 1st gear+clutch, everything, still no avail. It does start (after a lot of hard work) and If I dont slip the clutch to keep it at 7k or more it stops and doesnt start, even when I do this it's hugely jerky. Its not out of water, or 2 stroke oil, chain i…

. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- . Hello I am new here my name is ... Karen Agusta . --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- . Because I know "just a little" about motorcycles and the fact that An engine is essentially an air pump of a combustible mixture Regarding air - it is not "sucked" or "pulled" into the engine There are no little hands reaching out grabing air molecules Air may only be pushed into an engine it is never pulled into one The air pressure at sea level is 14.7 pounds per square …

This is my best Friend. Given to me when he was just 6weeks old, I carried him home and put him down at the corner of the house where he stayed for 2days shivering with fear. 16 years went by where he seldom left my side almost every day. Everyone that met him grew to like him as he was a real character. Sadly a few days ago he passed away. I miss him very much. I hope he rests easy and is gone to a nice place. If you are a dog lover then you will understand this post. Why did I post him on here.........I dont know, I guess sharing is careing. As this is a motorbike forum, ill try to give him some status. He had a one hearted, big chested, air and…

Hi, I may need a new battery and have been phoning around a few local dealers to get prices. I've been quoted between £42 - £48 for a sealed unit which I think is on the expensive side. Not keen on ordering from eBay, can anyone recommend a good reliable online store?

Hi everyone I've had a problem. Just lately she has been cutting out on initial start/ignition and on second start usually goes ok. On this occasion same thing happened, started fine then cut out then on second attempt....no ignition at all. Dead as a do-do. Though all the lights are working, all the fuses are intact, battery is at full power and took starter motor off to check it and that is running off an independant battery. In the past the regi/rec went and fried the old battery and the new regi/ rec has been on about 2 years, though it was a second hand one that some one had spare and gave me so don't know how old it is. I was wondering if any one had a…

Hey there everyone, My names Liam, I'm just coming into the biking scene and wanted to make it official by joining the owners club. I'm getting a 2010 YBR125 on Friday and am absolutely extatic! I have had a bike before, about three years ago. It was a Lonjia Madness 125 (chinese scooter). It was cool, but had loads of little annoying things like the battery compartment leaked an would fill up with water! I ended up drilling holes in it for drainage! also, the exhaust mounts snapped and was hanging off. Had o weld it back together... Eventually my CBT ran out, I passed my driving test, bought a car and never had a bike again... But now, I've re-done my CBT…

Hi, must be a first, dont need help (at the moment). Just rebuilt my first 2 stroke Yamaha and now have the rs200 on the road. Have owned many over the years from old Brits to modern BMW but decided some spannering was in order as I used to enjoy it. Have discovered that I still do. Been riding bikes for years, scarey how many really. I am 57 years old and live in Kent UK.

Hi, folks! I've been lurking here on and off for a while and thought I'd better say hello before posting anything else. My name is Duggy and I ride a blue 1990 RXS100. I have a car licence and CBT to allow me to ride it. I originally got it to save money on the daily commute (15 miles each way) but am loving it so much I ride whenever I can now! I bought it at the end of last year for a tenner off a work colleague. His wife thought he'd most likely kill himself and wanted him to get rid of it. It was a bit of a wreck but just about ran and stopped with a bit of luck so I started about getting it fixed up. I'm not bad with car stuff but not having a bi…

Hello folks, Having only done about 200 miles since I got my YBR (I'm not counting however many miles I did way back when I had my first bike in '93), I was wondering if some of you could help me with some noob questions? 1) When I come up to a red light (for instance) I go... See red light, clutch in, down down down down to first gear, coast to a stop at the light still in first with the clutch in, ready to go again. Is that bad for my engine? It's what I used to do before, but neither of my CBT instructors ever actually told me what I should be doing. Should I be changing gear down one at a time with throttle in between? Because the bike doesn't seem to like t…
