Hello, Can anyone please help? I've piled my FZ6 Fazer'06 and at present am trying to rebuild it. I'm nearing completion but I've not managed to get any UK clocks. Before I go out and spend £380 plus vat at the dealers I was wondering if anyone knew if I could get a set of european KPH clocks and get them converted and who would do it? Or would a set of R6 clocks work as I have noticed on the newer models they have a set like the R6. Many thanks in anticipation of a reply.

Ok I need a new pair of pants... Let me set the scene.... I was on a ride with the family, heading back from the ship Inn... Travelling at about 55mph through a national speed limmit and heading to a corner (didn't know the road so went in nice and gentle.... At least that's what I thought) Well to cut a long story short, the corner tightened rapidly and I found myself doing off roading on the grass verge after having failed to get the bike leant over, gently on the back break, took a tree branch down (which fuddy hurt) somehow stayed on the bike and recovered... Stopped and checked the bike and no damage done...... Just my pride and pants..... Never have I thought S*…

Hi all, Just thought I would be noise and see what sort of clothing you guys were when out the bike in the winter, summer, track days and commuting?? My self is: Commuting is Hein Gericke Jacket (Textile) most the time I use my hein gericke Jeans (Leather) unless I go to college and then it is swift textile jeans. I recently decided to buy another bike after a few years. I shope around for the best deal going and came across this website - http://www.motorcycleclothingshop.co.uk/ The service I received was top notch and the gear is excellent. I bought 2 piece leather suit, boots, gloves & textile jacket. All took 2 days to deliver.

Hi guys, I seem to have a clunking sound coming from some where around the engine area. I think it's coming from where the chain goes into the engine but I'm not sure. Its asif I had some thing stuck in my chain and ever time it goes round it makes a clunk and it's more at low speeds. It sounds more of a mechanical clunking to. I've checked the chain see if there is out in it and there isn't I've checked it if it's lose and it's fine. So I was woundering if any1 could shed any light on this worrying anoying sound. Hopefully ya sort of get what I mean haha.

My YBR Custom 125 is just under 19k old, and over the last 800 miles or so I've noticed the gearbox go from relatively smooth to a clunk that radiates through the entire bike. I know older bikes get clunky and rattle a bit more, but this clunk is almost violent in comparison to how it used to be. Should I be worried? I'm going to try adjusting my clutch cable since the bite zone is almost at the end of the throw. The engine is relatively well looked after, serviced regularly and not really ragged more than any other bike.

Hello all, i just disconnected the clutch cable on my drag star, and put it back (working on the handlebar). I measured the exact position of the 2 nuts at the lower end of the cable. Put everything back the way it was, but now i notice that when the bike is in gear, and i pull the clutch lever, it doesnt seem to be completely free rolling, as if it was in free. I tried adjusting the nuts so the clutch gets pulled more, but it doesnt seem to help. Is that normal? Should the bike feel completely free when i pull the clutch lever? thanks Peter

Morning I'm having difficulty locating the adjuster parts at the handlebar lever end of the clutch cable. The penny sized disc seems threaded and the part the cable end screws onto may be a bit bent too. I've got a new cable but I can't find these two little parts. Any ideas or am I being stupid?

Hi all, Been reading up on clutches and oils, forum after forum people are cursing at doodz for using synthetic oil. I hear screams of slippage and ruined clutches. I have used synthetic/ester based oil now in all the bikes Ive had, all wet clutch and have no problem with synthetic based oil at all. Both road and dirt bikes are absoulutly fine with them. People are under the misconception that its the quality of the oil that creates slippage, they claim, that due to its greater protection qualities, synthetic is too slick for a firm clutch operation.. I do not believe they are right, anyone who has done an ounce of reading on this should have come accr…

I was happily riding along yesterday not to fast not to slow down the A38 and pulled off at the junction, pulled the clutch in and whops, no clutch. after slow rolling i managed to get it in to 2nd gear then the fun part started. I had to ride 3 mile without stopping at junctions, traffic lights or for oncoming traffic to get to the local garage. had to leave the bike there as they had to order a cable which will be in thursday and it is now costing me £60 for cable and fitting. not bad for 10 mins work. well at least its taking space up in there garage for the next 2 day

Bang smack in the middle of a very dodgy area my clutch cable snapped and I had to push my bike home, I swear I thought I was going to get my bike jacked! I know it seems like I'm winging every two minutes about bullshit but......... Do you think I could replace the cable myself or is it a difficult job? I really want to have a crack myself but don't have a clue or know what to expect.

Out today clutch cable snapped in third gear, I was like WTF. I couldnt slow down as would stall, I couldnt stop to push the bike because I was in gear. So I had to keep the bike running to the garage, went through 5 sets of red lights, 1 set right outside the police station lol What would you have done? Also the garage tightened it 3 days ago, was he the cause? Did he do it too tight? Is this a common thing? Do clutch cables need replacing regularly? Not best pleased.

  20. My 1991 Pre diversion XJ600 now runs well, after sorting out the carbs, ignition and exhaust problems - see elsewhere for details - and as I was starting to use it, the one remaining bugbear was that gear selection was very clonky into first, tended to drag with the clutch pulled in and the bike in gear, and last but not least - when the bike was fully warmed up it was next to impossible to select Neutral from either first or second when at a standstill - eg in a traffic queue or waiting at the lights. As I said at the time - "The clutch works OK, but drags enough to make selecting neutral on a hot engine very difficult. I should probably just change the oil, bu…
