I got pulled over by the West Yorkshire Police whilst travelling Westbound on the M62 just before I was due to come off on junction 26. I noticed a police car in my right side mirror with its flashies on so pulled out of its way. Upon pulling out of its way I noticed it followed me. I realised I was the target so pulled onto the hard shoulder. I switched off my engine and began removing my helmet and gloves. I then put the bike on its sidestand. As I was putting the bike on its stand a policeman approached me from the right side and said 'far too fast to me'. He then said 'you can kiss your license goodbye'. Another policeman then approached from the left side…

It is pretty sad, that I had to be reminded of my long absence! Thanks for reminding Now that winter is here, more time to sit at ye olde computer. Most of my riding this year was in Georgia,Tennessee, N.Carolina,WestVirginia,Virginia,Maryland'Ohio,a bit of Pennsylvania and of course Ontario. Total miles put on the Yamaha FZ1 , this year , about 23 000km Kilometers, not miles. In February a few weeks in Texas. Only problem there, Battery went dead. Got to keep them rpms up Any cold weather riders out there?

Hi, Took a tumble on my Thundercat YZF600 last weekend . I got a few cuts and bruises, and was dizzy for a couple of days, but otherwise ok. Can't say the same about the bike, pretty smashed down the left side, left handlebar snapped off, left and top fairing and rear panel broken, mirror broken off, left footpeg snapped, not to mention my injured pride. I accidentally spun the bike in Stratford, the roads were very slipery (I was actually trying to go in a straight line at the time), lost control as it spun, hit the curb and down like a ton of bricks. All I remember as my head hit the ground was my visor popping off and bouncing down the road... If anyone kn…

hey guys... new to the forum... seems like a pretty cool place. i got my first yamaha last week. it needs a lot of help, but should be a fun overall project.. it's a 1976 DT400. own a number of other machines, but this one is pretty greek to me (a bunch of little bits like compression releases that i have never messed with before, and apparently a 6 volt electrical system). i am hoping to build a street tracker out of the thing... just think that would be pretty fun way to go with it, and look pretty sharp in the process. figured i would find people who know more than i do on here, and attempt to pick some brains, and add what i can to the forum while i am at it. well,…

Hello people, The last time I was on here, I'd just passed my Bike Theory Test and that was nearly 2 years ago. Anyway, when I passed my Theory, I kept saying to myself, I got 2 years to do my CBT and DAS and time just flew past and the next thing I knew, I've only got 2-3 months before my Theory runs out again! I did my CBT about 3-4 weeks ago and then did my DAS Saturday to Tuesday this week and passed the test on Wednesday! The feeling is unbelievable, I'm still BUZZIN'! I came through the test with 6 minors which isn't too bad, I stalled twice (was a bit nervous at first). I thought I cocked it up at one point when I was doing the walking with the …

I spent a few days hugging some corners in western North Carolina recently when I found myself totally out ridden by a group of female motorcyclists from Seattle. It seems the gang was not as they appeared. They wore patches on the backs of their dirty leather jackets that said they were Vampires, and the quickness they showed on those twisty roads had me believing they were the real thing. This all began after a night of camping at High Country Motorcycle Camp ( http://www.highcountrymotorcyclecamp.com/ ), located deep inside the Appalachian Mountains of North Carolina, I was up early to flip through some curves on what I hoped would be a deserted Blue Ridge Parkway.…

Hi everybody, I'm a newby to the forum having just upgraded from my NC35 to a 2003 R6, which I'm absolutely loving, as the following story will prove.... So I've had the R6 for a grand total of 9 days now, and coming home from work last night I was getting bored of dumb ass drivers sitting in the outside lane of the 3 lane section of the A40 and leaving the two other lanes completely free, so I took the decision to undertake the lot of them in the inside lane at a speed approaching 3 figures in a 50mph area. Unfortunately one of these cars turned out to be an unmarked pig in a BMW 5 series. He eventually caught up with me in traffic and pulled me over for what I was t…

Hi everyone, Just registered... I'm interested in buying a new Fazer S2. Just wanted to get some info and opinions from owners of Fazers. I ride a Suzuki 2005 SV650S with fairing lowers and double bubble screen at the moment. I like the torque it produces and the light weight. It handles well and is narrow. The problem is the riding position with clip-ons is killing my back. Right between the shoulder blades (I have a herniated disc there anyway). Suzukis aren't known for build quality either, though it's garaged and well maintained, so it's mint. I want a bike with some wind protection and a relaxed riding position. The only one that looks right for me is the Fazer at…
