Heres one for the hardcore among us... I bought a voltage regulator off fleabay for my FZR, old was is on the fritz. New one is shown in pic. but there are a few characters different compared to the original Old one reads:- 47X-A2 SH569A-12 T4.D 261 Anyone know what the difference is? Will this one work ok or could this be part of the cause of my ongoing problems? The listing def stated that item was from an early 90's FZR600.

So i have a powermac G4 MDD. I bought another HD to put in my mac as ive run out of room. The new hard drive has different connectors to the IDE ribbon. The one thats in there appears to have a brown end over the connectors. Maybe an adapter? Do you put adapters on the end of the hard drive? If so what are they called and where do you get them? Hi All, I bought my 2006, MT 03 660 a few months ago, only had a handful of rides before the lockdown but enough to know I had a service job list to take care of. Que a full compliment of consumables and fluid change in order create my own history with the bike and learn where stuff is. Now the bars on the bike are non standard, nothing flash and looking through the MoT history it appears they were changed due to the originals being bent. There is other evidence that the bike has had a gentle fall over rather than been thrown up the road. The bars on the bike are very tall MX bars. I am looking to try and achieve a more roadster, not cafe racer, feel r…

Anybody else think that having to tick a box to get a copy of sent messages is a pain, surely you should put a tick in the box if you DONT want it. Sometimes a private message thread can run over a few days and things get a bit ' lost' old grey matter and such..Sometimes you need to look back on things to refresh your memory...... Or am i missing something.

I own an XJ6 and just bought myself some renthal streetfighter handle bars,they are approx 100mm longer than standard bars si when I fitted then the cables were pulling too tight,has anybody fitted longer bars and got over the problem I have? I know I've seen somewhere an XJ6 with these type of bars on so I'm guessing it can be done. Also if someone's reading this could some one give me the measurement from top of yoke to centre of handles bars as I'm thinking that the risers I have on may not be the originals and hindering the fitting of the new bars ... Hey yal! I need help with this 1997 YZF750. There seems to be no timing marks on the cams. I have timed cams on hundreds of other bikes. The only marks I see are a couple of 5mm holes drilled half way through the side of the far right hand(as you are sitting on the bike)cam lobes. There are no dimples, arrows or stamped lines on the sprockets. I spoke with 2 veteran Yamaha technicians and they both said that there is a line on the camshaft that will line up with a line on the top of one of the cam journal caps, as you look down from above. I took the camshafts out and inspected them closely as well as the caps. Guess what. No lines, dots or arrows. I do remember timi…

Well not much to say really I came off today on a corner when my rear tyre touched the mud there and weeeeee off I go along the road (about 2 metres ) this is when I appreciated the fact I had leathers fortunately im fine only got a little graze but my right side fairing is dead bike runs fine just doesnt look the same poor girl will have to give her some extra TLC

bought a cheap camcorder last week and was wondering how to mount to the bike. the price for these camera mount are way over the top. so i nipped into my dads shed and found a block of ally after 40mins of miling and cutting i came up with this... Hi all, Just lost me job and am hoping to save a few quid. Bought some fuel from a well known supermarket and guess what it was full of impurities and it's clogged up my fuel pump (according to my local garage anyway). Now I've no way of proving the Supermarket link as I have no samples and it was bought miles away from home on a long ride. Anyway looks like it's going to cost me around £70 for a pump (pump is combined with relay) plus fitting and I've already had to pay the garage to get me going. The bike is a Fazer 600 2000 model. Now assuming I can get the old pump back from the garage do you know of a way to cleanb the old one to save me a few quid on bu…

Speedo cable broke on the NTV last weekend, was the 17 year old original so no real heartache but .... To replace it I had to remove the wee Puig flyscreen covering the clocks, undid the bolts OK but when lifting it off, as the tension was released from the clamps the plastic cracked around the mounting points (it's been friggin' cold here since forever so everything's brittle). Shed time - clean up the cracks with the Dremel and re-drill new mounting points, the screen now sits 1/2" lower, but that's fine.
