Hi, we have a Yamaha Aerox YQ50 2012 (UK). The handlebars hit the knees at full lock. We are wondering if the frame is bent or something like that or if the bike is made for small people. Can anybody who's got access to one please make some measurements from bits that aren't too flimsy etc? Maybe from the ends of the handlebars (both equal with steering 100% straight ahead!) back to a fixed point somewhere near the fuel filler. Then the overall width to the tips of the handlebars in case ours are different. Also the handlebar tips down to the footplate securing screws. If someones got the cladding off then measurements to inside of curved frame behind fuel filler. Mu…

Hi, I have an 07 MT03 (the proper 660 single) and yes there are a few still on the road! 2 weekends ago I was out for a ride and saw according to my speedo I was doing 188 mph and 0 revs. So I stopped, and restarted the bike hoping the problem was not terminal...... it was - the whole display was dead. No neutral, indicator, main beam, nuffing (Later on closer inspection a chip on the printed circuit had blown) So as Mr Yamaha wanted £440 for a new one , after a lot of searching I managed to get one from a breakers . It works fine except that when I start the engine the display and rev dial goes blank for a few seconds. At first I thought it could be that the …

Question to any of our Australian friends... Are there any associations for advanced motorcycling? In the UK there's the BMF, Rospa, IAM but I can't seem to find anything similar out here, surely there's something?

I wondered if anyone else had been having problems with the generator cover on the XV950. I have two problems: 1. It is plastic and the slightest touch by my boot rubs off the paint! 2. It is plastic and the heat / cold has warped it out of shape! Anyone else had similar trouble? I have bought a new one for £28 and will put some clear plastic on it to protect the paint - but that won't stop the warping! Is there an after market aluminium one out there? Thanks Mike

Just having the warning light come on only indicates a problem but not what the problem is or which sensor is being activated. This is really ridiculous. I stopped at a shop. They changed the oil. I stopped at another shop they added brake fluid. I was on a long drive up over the mountains to my home in northern Thailand. The light came on again, stopped at another shop. They shrugged their shoulders and said I should just try to make it home. I did but with great anxiety. I called a mechanic friend of mine and he gave me this advice. Hope this helps.... Have you checked the air filter? . Check the coolant fluid reservoir. It is behind the big front cover under the …

GRT Yamaha Official WorldSSP Team's Lucas Mahias leaves Round 4 of the 2018 Supersport World Championship at Assen still leading the overall standings after a strong ride to fourth, although he was disappointed not to be able to fight for the race win on Sunday. His teammate Federico Caricasulo was pushing as hard as he could during the race before contact with another rider saw him crash out while battling in the leading group. In the European Supersport Cup, Alfonso Coppola made a strong start but faded towards the end of the race to finish in 20th place. Mahias struggled to find the perfect setup in Aragon and, unfortunately, he suffered from a similar issue throu…

{{if $formValue}} {$value} {{endif}} The GMT94 Yamaha Official EWC Team and YART Yamaha Official EWC Team endured a drama filled 8 Hours of Oschersleben yesterday in the penultimate round of the 2017/18 Endurance World Championship. GMT94 held on to take a valuable third place on the podium, whilst YART were not so lucky, recording a DNF. Oschersleben pole-sitters David Checa, Mike Di Meglio and Niccolò Canepa of GMT94 were quick off the start and showing immediate race winning pace until the first challenge of the race struck. In a repeat of last year, they were imposed a stop-and-go penalty for failing to turn their lights off during their pit-stop, ultimate…

{{if $formValue}} {$value} {{endif}} Yamaha Racing’s bLU cRU star Galang Hendra Pratama wrapped up his Brno race weekend in supreme style yesterday, ending a weekend of dominant form for the Yamaha Pata | Semakin di Depan | Biblion Motoxracing Team with a stunning victory on the YZF-R3. {{if $formValue}} {$value} {{endif}} Movistar Yamaha MotoGP's Valentino Rossi turned his fortunes around today at the eyetime Motorrad Grand Prix von Österreich, claiming a strong 6th place after a superb comeback race. Maverick Viñales had a more challenging outing at the Red Bull Ring - Spielberg track, but made up ground in the second half of the race to finish in 12th position. Rossi started from 14th on the grid and was wary of the first lap, when the busy mid-pack of the rider field would be diving into the tight first corner, but he managed the situation well. He finished his first lap in 11th place, trying to be both on the attack and the defensive. At…

So I believe the KTM lc2 125 Engine is a clone copy of the DTR 125, but I read that the KTM top end is more powerful due to the power valve and porting, has anyone tried fitting one to a DTR and does it improve performance?

Hey all. This morning on my way home, my seat felt quite hard. It was only my 5th ride on my bike and the seat is 17 years old, so i was thinking about buying a replacement seat. After searching google, it seems these are quite hard to find, or i'm looking for the wrong thing. Can anyone recommend a good comfy seat for my SR125? Thanks in advance!

Wanted to drive the bike into work last week. Turned over for 5 secs but didn't want to start first go (its been 3 weeks or so since last start). Then all power went. I have had batteries start to struggle a bit to give you a bit of notice but not this one. The 5 secs cranking just completely killed it off. It is completely dead and the charger doesn't even register ....... "it is an ex-battery" 🙃 New one one the way now but was pretty miffed I missed my ride.

Hi All, I bought my 2006, MT 03 660 a few months ago, only had a handful of rides before the lockdown but enough to know I had a service job list to take care of. Que a full compliment of consumables and fluid change in order create my own history with the bike and learn where stuff is. Now the bars on the bike are non standard, nothing flash and looking through the MoT history it appears they were changed due to the originals being bent. There is other evidence that the bike has had a gentle fall over rather than been thrown up the road. The bars on the bike are very tall MX bars. I am looking to try and achieve a more roadster, not cafe racer, feel r…
