  1. https://www.facebook.com/yamahapolandposition/ Hi, It's Greg here, I work as a Yamaha sales specialist at POLand POSITION (#1 Yamaha dealer in Poland, East-Central Europe). Currently riding an XSR900 and just lovin' it! Together with my friend mechanic we have built a special bike, based on the XSR700. So here's the official story: "POLand POSITION's Pawel Rybak and Greg Dabrowski, the men behind this Yard Built project, have asked themselves a tricky questions... As a result we pay a sincere tribute to a first ever Yamaha motorcycle: YA-1, called "Akatombo" (Red Dragonfly in Japanese), first released in 1955. Built in only 26 eveni…

So, my Xvs 125 came with a smashed up choke switch and a missing cable, aren't I lucky. I've eventually found replacements, but I was wondering would a car style choke (twist and lock type) work? I've got a bit of flat space to put one in if it does work, plus it's a step forward to decluttering the handle bars.

Hi, I'm trying to remove the starter on my FJ1200 and need some advice. I have the Haynes book and it says to remove seat, tank, and side fairings which I have. Removed the 2 bolts holding starter but it will not come out as it is blocked by frame. Thought I would check here b4 I disassemble any more. Any suggestions as what to do? Thanks in advance, Scott.

Hey people recently bought a dtr 125.. Top speed stops at 50? Man who had it before said he bought it boggy and his local shop said the jet was to high and power value had been tweeked! The bike is fully restricted, with dep pipe on.. Do you think it's possible they put the wrong jet size in? Loses power on high revs? Does anyone know the standard jet size for a 1990 dtr 125? Many thanks brad

  5. Riding again for the Yamaha Factory Racing Team will be Katsuyuki Nakasuga, the defending champion and current holder of four consecutive titles in the pinnacle JSB1000 class of the All Japan Road Race Championship, and MotoGP regular Pol Espargaró, who put Yamaha in pole position last year with an incredible flying lap, despite it being his first time to race at Suzuka and aboard the YZF-R1. The two star riders that helped bring Yamaha its stunning Suzuka 8 Hours win last year will be joined by Alex Lowes, who rides for Yamaha in its return to the World Superbike Championship this year. The team manager will be Wataru Yoshikawa, the current manager of Yamaha's All Japan …

  7. Hi all, Hope everyone is well and hope it’s ok to post this…not selling anything or looking to spam anyone! I have a quirky and fairly urgent request for help please…and hopefully I can give something in return! I know this is a bit of a long shot, but I am looking for a Yamaha XSR 700 to record the audio for, for a videogame. I work in games, and have recorded quite a few bikes now, for a Moto GP game a few years back, and a more recent Ducati game, so have done this sort of thing before. This is for a new game – Ride 2 by Milestone. They are making efforts to make their games sound better, so we have recently been drafted in to help! My company is called TheAudioG…

  11. Some information before I get to the problem. So I crashed my motorcycle about 2 weeks ago. I hit a curb doing 40ish on a new road I wasn't used to. Got thrown from my bike, most of the damage was to the front and left side. Luckily I was ok. At the time I had a toggle switch on the bike, that came out when I crashed however. When I got it from the tow company the front brake lever had no resistance to it. So I took it off. My fairings were gone instrument cluster was gone. One of my exhausts was hanging off the bike. I got it home washed it up fixed what I could. I replaced the throttle tube and the start/kill switch (the old one was destroyed in the crash) I took t…

When replacing the exhaust on an Aerox R 2016 what do you do with the hose pipe that's normally connected to the stock exhaust?

I'm looking at yr1 and am just wondering how much it would be worth restored/unrestored (In Australia). Currently it runs and its all original and has 16000 miles on it. Also are these bikes hard to work on?

Hi, wondering if anyone can help out. I need a tail tidy for my ybr and I can't find one. I know a specific one isn't made for it but I know one fits off of another Yamaha or something? Without making too much of a modification (bodge) to it?!:) cheers

Hi all - I'm new to this club. I’m riding a YBR125 since 2012 and like 'making good progress’ within the given limitations. I have a full licence, and have ridden bigger bikes, one of them a Divvy, but have now downsized. I’m a fit 78 (lots of cycling!), male, not looking for any kind of relationship except company on the road. May 15-25 or October 04-14 would seem good options to avoid the midges. Interested?

  20. Hi, I just joined the forum. I ride out from East London and I am exploring as much as I can. I passed my test last summer and I bought my first bike back in Sept '16, a lovely blue Tracer 700 and I have done 3k+ miles and I am loving it. As the bike I bought is a new model I set-up an owner's page and group on Facebook specifically for the Tracer 700. So if you have one yourself please feel free to join us... We plan on arranging a meet up later this summer, most likely in/around Brighton. Page https://www.facebook.com/Tracer700UK/ Group https://www.facebook.com/groups/Tracer700UK/
