    Well had my new 2 me 1985 Yamaha XS 250 for 4 weeks now almost 1000 miles later and here is the good and the bad form my perspective. Bad. Brakes, stop stooooooop stooooooooooooooooooooooooop, forgot just how hard you have to pull on 80s single disk brake to make an impact on slowing down. Not really a problem just something you have to get re-used to a few near misses and your there. Oil leak from final drive shaft, not a bad one haven’t needed to top op oil yet and don’t expect to before oil change. Actually a double edge sword. It is working as a very effective inbuilt Scot oiler; the drip runs down drive sprocket and lubricates the chain lovely. Problem is it …

    alright guys anyone know how to de restrict my 02 dt ? looses all grunt in 4th and wont stay in the powerband range ive been told i have to get the survo to turn 180 degrees and apparently theres a robber block in the inlet from the carb that needs taking out do iactually need to do this and will it improve performance much i want acceleration more than top end as i go offroad quite allot

    I hear alot about ppl needing a stove to bake parts to cure parts/paint and the wife wont let you .     This photo was taken 2 weeks after I got it: These 3 after after the exhaust leak was fixed and painted. Exposed part of the frame repainted black and top part of engine also repainted black. Repainted foot pegs, and most rust surface removed from handlebars: What do you think of it now that it looks better guys? Btw, I do want to fix the seat, but not sure It will stay with since I'm in high school (year 12 A/S level) and not sure if I will stay in Greece (current location) or study abroad.
