Hi all I'm sure this has been asked many times before but, ive got an xj6 it's my 1st bike and I love it. There's just not enough noise on it, I don't want to be annoying neighbour's or owt but I want to be heard. Does anyone have a decent mod on the existing exhaust, I don't want to put a full exhaust I like the factory one. Any help would be very much appreciated.

just purchased my first bike(well for over 20 years anyway)..an 2012 xj6 n in white. problem is it came with hand protectors on and I had to remove one to get the bike in my shed(ended up dismantling the shed and purchasing a bigger one) any way ive tried re fitting the hand guard back on and the long threaded bar that secures it is just turning in the handle bar im assuming theres a back nut of sorts that is now in my handle bar somewhere that needs to be retrieved?? there is a part that is wedged in the end of the handle bar though, ive give it a light pull but is not moving,i didn't want to force it too much incase its not supposed to come out... a…

  4. Recently been to my local bike shop Lagunas Maidstone and ordered a Leo Vince slip on exhaust and K n N airfilter . wow a sound difference and the Air filter has made a few ggs . All my other motor cycle mates have loud exhausts and made mine seem like an electric bike. however didnt want to void Warrenty so put the slip on ON , and its made my bike Bark. I ts my first bike and Im realy pleased with performance and looks although ive had a tail tidy fitted, the belly pan sprayed the same colour as bike, Reflectivewhite tapes on wheels. as soon as i can get either video or photo s uploaded I will , Ive not seen many XJ6 n s in Maidstone.

Hey, was just wanting to pick a few of your heads over this. Its getting colder here up in Glasgow, Scotland as some of you may be experiencing. I was looking for increased protection mainly for my hands and for my upper body. I know i can lean into my bike for some protection but i was wondering if there was something more if i didn't want to fully lean in. I dont like the bike's touring screen so was looking for something different. Also i was looking for some more protection for my hands, i've though about muffs but i've been told they are quite dangerous and can sometimes catch on the brake and clutch leavers. I was wondering what you winter hardened bikers do for…

Hi looking for some advice or guidance. Where is the best place to find a rear shock for a 2009 model. Also roughly what's the cheapest price I could likely buy for? Would other make/model shocks fit? If so which ones? Any help would be appreciated.

  12. i bought an xj600 diversion and after reading the reviews i found it to be a fairly fast comfortable user friendly bike so why do people slag them off so much i know it doesnt perform like an r1 type of bike but its good for someone on a budget like me and apart from slightly lacking the gut wrenching accelaration like some others i find it hard to pick any faults with it so whats the beef why do people seem to hate them ?? do you!!

hi everybody, so as I was doing a little spirited driving with my dad here in Carlsbad, California I noticed something peculiar. Okay, I know very well that a 1996 VFR 750 has a much more powerful engine, powerband is suffitiently different but where the hell is our power band? In 3rd gear I feel a little umph but mostly across the board the acceleration is just blah. Now, it does seem to have a good deal of torque in the lower gears so I'm able to pull through a turn (or continue to pull through, since I'm on the throttle all the time right? ) but where have you guys noticed the power band sitting at?

Hi everyone. I am relatively new to this type of forum stuff, so bear with me... I've been reading quite a few topics though, and it seems a great system for sharing ideas and info. My problem / issue is this:- my bike starts fine and goes well, but occasionally, she will simply die in mid-flow... It is as if I have turned the engine off. It's quite like a fuel starvation, but I know fuel tap is on etc... I have noticed that the kill switch on the right handle bar seems dodgy... sometimes works and other times nothing but a click. Then, after a few momoents standing, and several clicks on the kill switch... off she goes again with no problems until the next tim…
