I'm looking for replacement mirrors for an FZ750. What I would like is some that stick out further than the original as all I can see is my elbows. They are faring mounted with 46mm centres for the bolts. So my question is what other mirrors would fit the bike. Mark

Its taken all day to sort out my mates garage after some twunts tried to nick his bikes. They came 4 days ago but couldnt get in, made a mess of the doors tho. This time they got in after cutting his new locks open, didnt take anything, but checked out what locks and chains were on his 3 machines. His Kwak 636 is in his house now, another has gone to a secure lockup and the other machine cant be moved, to big... Mr plod said "Nothing can be done" Great that is. Surely someone saw the vehicle they came in, it was big enough, you can clearly see the tyre marks. So, if you live in Rossendale area and have a garage thats away from your house, be warned theres bike …

okay after much wailing and gnashing of teeth, i finallly got on board... have owned an 81 XJ Maxim 550 since 1992, bought 4th hand in oklahoma. i was in the Air Force at the time. it got put away in 1995 and left in the back of the garage until last summer. i had the carbs rebuilt and spent about 40 hours cleaning, de-greasing, waxing and polishing every little bit on that bike. it started right up after the carbs went on but i had tuning issues. then it wouldnt start at all. its currently up and running like a new bike but im waiting on some fork seals. its currently got a tick less than 12,000 miles (19,200kM for you metric folk)... 2 weeks ago i picked up…

I have a 2007 Stratoliner and I need to replace the stock seat. I am looking at getting either a Corbin Dual Tour w/backrest or a Mustang Wide Touring Seat, also w/backrest. I seldom ride more than 150 miles at a time, usually on country roads. Corbin describes its seats as firmer than Mustang and Mustang agrees its seats are softer than Corbin, and owners agree. Corbin reps say the firmness is better for a long ride because softer materials compress, putting you closer to steel (or aluminum for the Strat). Any thoughts on what is better - firmer or softer? How do people feel about Corbin vs. Mustang? I am a 53 year old male, only about 5'6" and 160 lbs, pretty muscular …

Can anyone supply technical info or or spec modifications (or advise where info and pictures can be obtained) on the DT125 and YZ 125 off road models- The info required is from the year (approx) when the DT model changed from air to liquid cooled, up until 2005. Please go easy with technical info as I am an old git, in my day we would set points with a fag paper and pliers! Many thanks, Steve.

Hi, I live in Spain and have been offered a UK registered Yamaha TDM 850. Before I go ahead and bring it over..does anyone know if they were ever sold (homolgated) in Spain or were I might find out if they were.. Cos its a lot of hassle importing a bike into Spain..and if they were never sold here officially..then its virtually impossible to register it legally. Cheers, Harald.
