Hey guys. Recently purchased an old dt1 250 complete motor to make a shifter cart with. So theres 2 black, one yellow, one green, and one white wires coming from the magneto. I cant not figure out how they wire to the coil to give the spark plug a spark! Any guesses? And also is it a 2 stroke or 4 stroke? thanks!

I bought a R1 last year from the local Yamaha dealer and paid for Datatagging. I thought nothing more of it until I changed my insurance this year, I was asked to send of the Datatag details but it turned out the dealer hadn't registered the Datatag number as belonging to me. I rang Datatag to register the number and it turns out that the number is already registered and the dealer had put an incorrect number on the bike!! My question is, can the numbers be changed without ruining the bike or do I need to get solicitors involved in claiming the cost of the bike back?? Any help will be appreciated Matt

hay As im sure a lot of you already know......the mirrors on my 04 Fazer 1 are pretty awful, unless you like looking at your wrists....or elbows.....or about 10 metres to your left or right. All i want to be able to see......is behind me!!! Has any one fitted different mirrors? or used extensions? or overcome this problem another way?? cheers Phil

Hi, this year I aquired a new FJR 1300 AS and would like to here comment from any body who has got or tried one to see how they got on with the machine. Mainly to find out if there were any problems they discovered. Me personally I have had a great time so far, and no problems.

Im new in here so hello from sunny Denmark. I am English but have lived here for 4 years. I have recently bought a 2006 FZ6 which I think is great. My last bike was a Intruder VS800 which was great, I did 16000km on it this year. The FZ6 is a drastic change to the Intruder but after 1000km I know I will love it. Hi guys. After initially posting a question about which bike to get I finally got mine last week wednesday. I only managed to take her out for a ride to work yesterday and what a ride it was fantastic. (it is a 2004 yamaha r6 with 7500 on the clock). As I was riding on the dual carriage way and giving it a decent amount of revs gearchanging was no problem at all but when going down a 30mph stretch after pulling away I changed through the gears but going from 3rd to 4th I pulled the clutch in as per usual and lifted the gear lever with my foot and it clicked as if to engage but when I let the clutch out it just reved as though I had put it into neutral. Evening all With the price of unleaded averaging £1.02 a litre where I live, I was wondering if anyone had any plans to try and get some fuel protests going? Someone on the MCN website suggests boycotting Esso and BP but if they're the cheapest nearest you, it doesn't seem practical to ride / drive further away to pay more. With the extra duty on fuel imposed by the government in October, together with the plans for pay as you ride on the roads and our road fund licences, we're being taken advantage of (in my opinion!). I couldn't make the protest in London in October to lobby against road prices as we were out of the country but if anyone knows of any plans for…

Hey everyone! I just got my first bike, a 1980 SR250. I cleaned the carb, plan to change the oil and the spark-plug, just some basic stuff. I have it running, and it runs pretty well! I have 2 questions: - There's a LOT of rust in my tank. I have an in-line filter on it, and my fuel-line is clear, and you can see the large amounts of rust in the fuel line. I don't want this to eventually clog up my fuel line. Is it fine like this? or should I have the inside of the tank rust-proofed somehow? -My muffler is rusted out the wazoo. I can see broken off parts sitting inside the muffler, and the opening is almost completely rusted out. Should I replace this? or does…
