best video ever, Nuff said well except for Mandlebrots and fractals and by throwing off concepts of 'tempo' and 'synchronization' he's challenging our very understanding of music.

I know someone can bail me out here... I´m purchasing a bike (1981 yamaha xj750 seca) from my neighbors son who now resides in California. Since his move he has lost all paperwork on it but I still need to get a title to plate the thing. To make an EXTREMLY long story short, where can I find the VIN on this bike? The VIN on the sticker has song since worn off due to cable chaff and I see no stamping for it. Any help here? Thanks, Moondine

Well i know for a fact the Yamaha XT 200 i just picked up on the weekend only has 8 digits which are 15x - 000388. Not sure what year it is 1982-84? As it sits, it is in pieces but just needs a rebuild so this should be a fun project . If anyone can give me tips or links to certin things i may need to know that would help nicely, I'm 18 and this is my first rebuild. I'm very excited! Cheers!

Hi there, can somebody please help me out here with the true year of manufacture of my XV750. On my log book it says first registered in UK 1998, but on the green slip on the right of the log book it says "declared manufactured 1989". I know this is an import. The engine no. is 3AL-009212 The chasis no. is JYA3ALEO7KA009212. Now according to some vin no. info, my machine was manufactured in 1993 not 1989............am I right or not please?? see attached photos If I'm right my Virago is younger than it states on the log book so I need to change the details with the DVLA. Thanks in advance Adrian

Evening all. Been reading the forums here for ages, thought I'd actually post for once and see if you guys can help me. I have a YBR125 that I hardly use any more, got bigger shinier bikes now! Would really like to sell it but I lost the V5 ages ago. I have the form to fill in to get the new V5 sent to me, but I have to put the VIN number on the form. I used this website which has a VIN 'decoder' on it for Yamaha's, to double check I had it right and it constantly comes up as an invalid VIN number. Website here: http://www.motoverse.com/tools/vin/yamaha.asp Don't really want to send the form off now, in case I'm getting it wrong somehow! Plus i'm not 100% …

New to this board (from Florida, USA), not new to motorcycles, but this has me stumped!! Just acquired what is supposed to be a 1982 Maxim 400. I've searched across the 'net and found pics and specs for a 1982 xs400 Maxim and they don't look anything at all like what I have. I found pics of a 1984 Maxim that looks exactly like what I have? The title shows the bike as a 1982. My question is: are there any rescources available that show the interpretation of the VIN number as to year manufactured, model, etc. I also have an xj650 Seca and I have a VIN reference for the XJ bikes. I've checked several Yamaha sites and can't even find "Maxim" listed as a Model. Any h…

Hi all, so, I've had my frame powder coated and therefore my frame numbers are very faint so I am having a VIN plate made up, one of the boxes on the VIN plate requires the KW power output, on my logbook it states 307KW but this seems high to me as when I google it it says it only has 10.8KW at 7000rpm, I obviously don't want to stamp incorrect information, can anyone help please?? Bike is a 2004 Yamaha DTRE 125cc

Hello. Could someone point me to a good resource for vintage Yamahas? I would really love a new bike, but my financial means have led me to a nice looking '74 DT-175 Enduro and I just want to find out as much as I could about these older bikes. Any leads to places for reviews, discussions, maintenance help and resources for parts would be appreciated. I'm not dismissing this site - it just seems a little out of my league until I one day build up my own high-performance armada of super-bikes. - Dan

Hi yall - this is my first post - my first bike for that matter. I remember all my friends brothers having the old enduros when I was a kid so I went out and got maself one. When I got it it ran enough for me to buy it. I was naive - it had little compression, the muffler wasn't screwed on all the way and the spark was gapped very wrong. Long story short - this week, I did a ring job, head gasket, cylinder gasket, packing gasket, new reed valve assembly, air filter, rebuilt the carb... Gear oil change, exhaust seal. That should be it. I still have little torque and she sounds scratchy at 40+ mph, which isn't far from my peak speed. What gives?!?! These bikes …

So about a couple of years back i traded an old Honda project for a fairly decent Yamaha DT100 LT2 which i though would make a great base for a project. Only just got round to starting it, i am by no means an expert mechanic i have picked up a few things over the years but decided its in my best interest to join up a forum to seek advice from people that are more knowledgeable than me 😁 over the next few months i am hoping to post up pictures https://drive.google.com/file/d/12Q77UiutTiY2a7-m2Ds3oJpLh6aAtjG6/view?usp=drivesdk of the process in getting it road worthy and registered on an age related plate :) and hope to make many friends along the way

I spent a few days hugging some corners in western North Carolina recently when I found myself totally out ridden by a group of female motorcyclists from Seattle. It seems the gang was not as they appeared. They wore patches on the backs of their dirty leather jackets that said they were Vampires, and the quickness they showed on those twisty roads had me believing they were the real thing. This all began after a night of camping at High Country Motorcycle Camp ( http://www.highcountrymotorcyclecamp.com/ ), located deep inside the Appalachian Mountains of North Carolina, I was up early to flip through some curves on what I hoped would be a deserted Blue Ridge Parkway.…
