Hi im currently in the market for a yamaha TZR 125 there is jus a couple of things im missin nd dont no much about the first is can the models that have been de-restricted to 33bhp be re-restricetd to 12 bhp as a learner i need the restriceted model. the next question is can all the models at 12 bhp be de restriceted up to the 33 bhp??? thanks any comments welcome cheers sampso

my bike keeps acting as though its running out of fuel.i have changed or cleaned everything fuel related and still no change. the bike may run for 10 miles or half a mile before it does this and will only restart with the choke on hot or cold but will not rev.4 times this week i have stripped the bike down and getting frustrated with it. any ideas??????????

Hi, Im not new to biking but am new to owning a yamaha and am trying to do a bit of research about my bike hoping there is someone out there who has the knowledge i need to aquire. Basicly I have managed to get my hands on TZR 125 R Belgarda 4DL, although mechanically its sound as a pound ( after a bit of TLC and some minor parts) however cosmetically there are a few odds and sods to sort out, the worst being my extremely rusty swing arm, its only surface rust an can be prepped and painted but I was looking on ebay (as I tend to do as i like to keep an eye out for the rarer parts you never know when you may need them) and noticed a few swing arms on there most of which …

Hi I've recently rebuilt (with the help of my boyfriend) a TZR125r 4DL 1991.. We have it running but it seems to go through plugs every few times we start it up.. someone has said that we need to probably adjust the carb settings but we can't find out what it should be set at anywhere.. does anyone have any ideas? Hi everyone, i've just bought an early model tzr 125 and while i may also soon be posting asking for help on obscure knowledge for how to get it running perfectly, it should be manageable... (im going to regret saying that) So in short im wondering if anyone remembers the best ways to squeeze reliable power out of the 2rk (i need to check exact engine codes tomorrow) motor and if there are any reliable specialists still about. Also a more specific question i have about my new purchase; do the later model (4dl etc) servo motors for the ypvs valves fit straight onto the earlier models? Hi, i own a 2002 tzr 50 (pre foxeye) and it is a grey import so i struggle to source parts at a reasonable price, and recently a bucket full of decorating bits and bobs fell from the loft of my garage onto my tank and left a very large dint in the petrol tank, i was just wondering if anybody had any clues as to where i can find a new tank or repair the current tank at a reasonable price as i have searched and found nothing under £300, also i was wondering if anybody had any tips as to running it, whether i should leave it standard or source some aftermarket performance parts and any suggestions on oil, im currently running it on silkolene scoot sport but i dont believe th…

Fancied a little bike to relive my youth and came across the TZR 50 and loved it's looks so much I bought it (wasn't even looking for a 50), went out on it with a friend of mine on his restored 350lc and found my little ped actually flew and was going faster than the speedo would tell me. It hits a powerband in every gear at 6000 rpm and he clocked me at 64mph going into the red in top gear (had a bit left in it but I didn't want to hold it in the red). Anyway my question is is my flying ped likely to have had a big bore kit fitted somewhere down the line or can this be achieved with the stock motor?

Hi, Could anyone tell me if I can get a tail tidy for a Yamaha TZR 50? I can't see any, would one off a R1 or an R6 fit? If it has indicators built in, do I need to change some wiring? How easy is it? Just asking because I haven't really got much experience. Any help would be appreciated.

Today I was outside giving my TZR a bit of love polishing her and I decided to start her and when I decided to warm her up as i havent started her for about 3/4 days so wanted to check the battery and such like and consequently every time I changed to gear one she cut out? Is there a reason for this I know the clutch is disengaging correctly what else could be causing this? Thanks Guys

Hi, i need a good race exhaust for my tzr 50 and the best one ive found is a TECNIGAS G-BOX, i can't find an arrow one anywhere and the giannelli one is a bit pricey, any ideas?

heyy i have bought a tzr 125 and am currently taking it to bits and polishing it and generally cleaning it up, i just wondered if i could have the 3 clock instraments instead of the 2 that are on because personally i think it looks better. thanks for your help

hi all im a newbie. does anyone out there know how to derestrict a tzr125 (93)belgrada. i live in france and bought it here and its a 4fl model. i also at the moment have a missfire over 8000 rpm in 4, 5 6 th. im have just had a new piston and the bore replated but it had this stutter or missfire before. i was thinking as i dont know the history of this bike that maybe jetting could be a problem ,, what is the standard size i should be looking for . i have read a few threads explaining about the 2 wires that are not connected and need to be earthed ,, does this apply to my bike to derestrict it The sevo when the ignition is turned on does 3 sweeps ,am i correct …

Hi guys just spotted a nice blue fully faired tzr125 2 RJ import on ebay in cullompton, devon can any forum members take a look at the ad for me and let me know what they think of the bike as its my 1st tzr and i want to make sure i buy the right bike appreciate any help.

Scratching my head trying to get the bike running but no spark from the coil, have checked all the wiring all seems good, currently getting around 5v to the coil from the cdi but i dont know if thats enough. Resistance readings at the coil and the source and pulser coils are lower than haynes manual says they should be. I dont want to just throw a cdi at it and hope although Ive got one on the way just incase.
