After my YB100 was written off, I've had a courtesy YBR125 which was very nice indeed TYVM. Last week I decided to get a replacement bike and had the choice of this for a grand or this which wasn't 80 miles away and has only got 8 miles on the clock and still got 10 months warranty. I didn't fancy riding from Southend to Margate in this weather so I went for the custom (which I'll be picking up in the morning). I will probably still be asking my self if I did the right move in years to come. Ho Hum, next step is getting a wind-shield and hand guards. Ebay, bike store or stealers??

I have the first MOT on my XVS 1300 next month, I fitted an O2 mod a few months ago. Does anyone know if I need to reconnect the original sensor for the MOT.

Hi there , I am new here , and I could do with some advice , I recently found a XS 1100 for sale. It is a 1976 model with 18000 miles on the clock. It is a good looking machine , what should I keep in mind and look for with a machine that is as "old" as this one . Paul.

I keep using screws and they keep falling out. What do the other DT125 owners use to pin it open?

hi all, just joined hoping some of u can give me some good advise on getting my bike running, the last time it was used was 6 years ago, so to cut a long story short iv cleaned the carb put fresh petrol in ,new plug and got it started, (this is easy i thought) wrong took it out and wen the powerband was jjust about to come in it died as if i had hit the kill switch and would not start again, the plug was wet seemed oily so cleaned it and started it again 10 mins later, and the same happened, carb off again and sett float to 21mm and now i can only get it to start with easy start, it runs for 20 seconds and dies, plug out and is wet and oily. iv been messing about with it …

Hi, I am confused as to the air pressure in the front forks, my local Yamaha dealer sys the pressure should be 0lbs yet my clymer manual says between 5 and 0. Is this with the irks under or off pressure? Thanks Steve

Can someone explain why I am having such a hard time finding a 4 into 2 exhaust replacement for my 83 XJ750M ? I've been to dozens of online stores and all I can find is 4 into 1. The only problem with the 83 Midnight Maxim I just bought is it needs a new exhaust. Is this why I got it so cheap? other than the exhaust it looks and runs like new.

Hello, thanks for reading. I noticed some play in the rear of my bike last week, only up and down, no sideways play. I have been told I need new swingarm bearings, but I can't find these anywhere! Can I buy the same sized bearings or are they specific? Also are there any other parts that need to be replaced due to the play? Cheers in advance for any help Toby

  20. Hi guys/gals.... I know I'm new to this forum but since it's an owners club thought it would be best to ask on here for some advice. Anyway: I have a Yamaha XJ600 Diversion N - on a 1999 (T Plate) which the previous owner has put chopper style bars on it so they are higher up, my insurance company won't insure me with these bars so I have to change them back to the original ones (which I already have) but my question is this..... If I change the bars back & keep existing hoses (Brakes, Clutch & So on) they will be a bit longer than needed....will this cause any issues or is it only a problem if they are too short? Any help is greatly appreciated.
