Hi I am Johann in Iceland. I jut bought an XS 400 SECA and would like to know if there are stores or othger recources to find parts new or used even an engine for this bike. It is working but sounds worn and has not been taken care of for a long time, painted with spray cans and such. I would like to restore this hoorse from the past to its former glory if possible. Any help on this one would be appreciated. greetings from the frosen north. Johann

the Starter on my 1980 SR250G is so slow, I never know if it is going to start. Even with a new and charged battery it is a crap shoot if it is going to start. I've pulled the starter, lubed it, checked the brushes & comutator. Once running it is a fun bike for just putting around. Is this slowness normal? A little more on the bike. It sat outside for around 7 years on a friends back porch and he just gave it to me. The forks are pitted and probably going to need replacing as they'll take out the seals real fast Any info would be appreciated.

  5. Started by Tomo,

Well I decided my time would be better spent working on the house. Then I decided a holiday is for having a holiday so at 8pm monday night I headed south. I now find myself in Benidorm where I am going to relax for a few days. Any pointers for the route back up would be handy. I ended up using a couple of tolls in spain as I pretty much did from home (Burton On trent) to Mataro, near Barcelona with only stopping for the tunnel and to refuel. Going to take it easier on the way back with a couple of nights in France but heading for St Malo as I have the boat booked to see a friend in Jersey. Thanks. Take it easy all.

Hi all, i've just started biking again after a few years off (too big a mortgage and no dosh for a bike!) Also suffering a mid life crisis, bought a cruiser 6 weeks ago and hated it so I changed it for a 2003 Fazer 600. A superb bike not too heavy on the insurance and great to ride. Just found this site today, looks good. Cheers

Hi there, just bought an xj diversion s 1998 (12500 miles) and i've noticed a very slight oil leak at the front of the head just below the where the manifold joins it, it dosen't seem to be affecting the bike's performance in anyway, but should i be worried and what could it be? its my 1st big bike, am i just over-reacting? cheers karim

Anyone out there got a 2007 fazer thou? Im thinking about somethin more comfy than the R6 but still fast, handles etc. I'm gonna show my age here, is there any storage space under the seat i.e. for more than a packet of fags? and have they sorted the fueling on this years bike? Taz motorcycles have new fazers otr for 6300, has anyone dealt with this company? Cheers all.

Hello all, I am new here so lets see if you can help me. I have a 1978 xs400-2e, It was running rough and I rebuilt the carbs and cleaned averything good. It still ran rough. I took off the left plug and the bike stalled, I took off the right plug and it ran with very little difference. I took out the plug and started the bike and the spark is great,( I still see the blue dot in my eyes). The last thing I checked was the mixture screws. They had plastic caps to avoid anyone addjusting them, bot the strange thing is the the right carb screw had no tip on it. it was blunt. I looked in the carb and the tip broke off in the port. I can get it out, but I cant find a listin…

  17. Hi everyone! I am new on this forum, so will introduce myself: My name is Ventzi. Last year I bought 2 R6's (from a mate that did some racing) - A road bike, and a complete bike that needed alot of putting together (He had been taking bits from it as spares for his track bike) Anyway - Both are the early carb models - the road bike being the updated model with twin rear lights, and project bike being a 1999 early model. I loved the bike, and did alot of miles in a few miles - and quite comfortably did a bit of touring here and there - once even with the girlfriend and a set of soft panniers on the back! Anyway - I sold that bike, and now need another one to do…

hi all, im a newbie, just bought an 02 plate fazer 600, the bike is restricted to 33 bhp at the moment, im wondering if there is a way to remove this without costly garage bills? i picked a bad day to buy a bike lol i rode from monmoth to runcorn cheshire, in masses of rain, but to say the bike was restricted she still performed well, maybe i should have switched to yamaha sooner!
