any advice please my r6 has just stated hitting false neutrals and jumping out of gear and clattering trying 2slot bck in wen dawdling about, whilst nailing it seems fine any body with same problems and wots the cure please regards

Hi Folks, Anyone help,considering lowering my 2000 r6 with those lowering kits as im tip toeing on bike as im a short arse. Not sure if good idea or are just a bit of a scam,and advice would be great as i am in two minds and kits are not cheap. Thanks Wolfie

Hi I bought my R6 back in November and I am looking for an R6 owners club, as I would love to go out on some meets. I look for any reason too ride. At the moment I'm riding with a few blades, a ninja, gxr and cbr6, but as I'm still new to riding this beauty I'm out a lot more than they are. Just wondering if any of you might know a good R6 owners club. Or alternatively any motorbike club that meets up around Halesowen, (Bridgenorth/Stourbridge/Birmingham). But looking at this website, I'm expecting a lot of replies saying this is the place to be. Thanks Marc

Hey guys, My R6 (03) went to the local stealership to have a new tps fitted, I'm now being told the onboard computer is not allowing any changes, apparantley it skips through the normal procedure without giving the option to change any settings! grrr! the really really annoying thing is that the bike was running perfectly until it went for a service and now I've had problem after problem!!!! Any clues? my stealership guy is kinda lost and he's having to contact Yamaha for assistance, hmmmm thing is I would really like to ride the thing this summer!!!!

Hi there, I have a 2003 R6 and had the TPS (throttle position sensor) changed about 3 months ago, I fitted a power commander and used one of the maps from the web, last weekend went for a blast and the bike kept cutting out but only when I stopped at traffic lights, so basically no idle whatsoever, when I switched the ignition off and then on again the bike ran fine for a few hours then did it again, is it possible that the power commander is causing this problem? because I haven't had a custom map created specifically for my bike? also I used super unleaded petrol a couple of times while out only due to the garages out in the sticks not having normal, could this cause…

Hello, i have just bought this Akrapovic Megaphone Exhaust for my R6. I was told that it lacks power at the bottom end and can be sorted with a power commander is this true?

OK, am I mad??? I have today, just bought a new 08 R6 as my first proper bike. I used to ride a 50cc but that was some 8 years ago on a CBT. I am doing my direct access and decided to go for a new R6. What are your opinions? I will obviously be taking it very very easy to start with! and I do mean EASY )

Hi I am strugling to find much info on the bike I am going to look at this weekend I am looking for a YZF R6 1998-2003 model, please can you give me any common faults on these I am kind of aware of the 2nd gear thing but any info on that would be appreciated. I am hopping to get one with milage from 10-20k and dont want to buy a lemon. Hey, Im looking for some help in adjusting the clutch on my R6 2007 model. When i let out the clutch it almost all the way out before the bike moves...Is there anyway to adjust this? I would like it, so when i start to let the clutch go the bike will start moving. Please any info will help i'm very new to biking. Thanks

Hey all, im 19 and currently ride a '02 plate R6, i am looking at trying to enter into the R6 cup for the new season, but im trying to get sponsorship to do this. it is a true ambition of mine to compete professionally and i am confident i have what it takes, i want to eventually race in the BSB and i am willing to go throught the long hard slog to get there. if you have any tips or advice for me relating to this or if you would be interested in providing some sponsorship for a young female racer then please reply and i will contact you directly, thanks all Laura

hey what the f+++s happening to my r6? when i pull in the clutch as im slowing and changing to the lower gears for junctions traffic lights etc the bike drops all its revs and stalls!? HELP! had a near miss yesterday was nearly rammed up the arse! plus its embarrasing! is it a coil problem? is it the battery? plus the fans keep kicking in. is that normal?

i have an 04 plate R6 LTD edition, the problem is at the moment it wont tick over? after a 20min ride on friday 2mins from home it backfired in a big way and now wont tick over,i have looked at the manual and the light on the dash states an electrical prob.its runs and will rev as normal but just wont idle. can anyone help with this please. dan.

is any one out there breaking a bike and wants to sell the engine please let me know as i have managed to blow my engine in my 1999 r6, i think ages from 98 to 2003 fit in a 1999 frame,, can travel to collect it... and am desperate to get it bak on the road for the summer!!!
