Have only just noticed a wee Ad' screen at the bottom of the YOC>General area>, its for a dating agency called www.plentyoffish.com, lmao, it does'nt somehow conjure up nice images?, I've nothing against corporate advertising but I'm afraid the name 'plentyoffish' seems a little like 'too much information' this kind of thing just leaves a bad taste in your mouth !

Please can someone advise me on how to advertise my bike for sale? I'm not a paid member, but I've seen a post in the old For Sale forum saying that you can advertise for a fee in a new classifieds section. However, I can neither follow the supplied link nor find this section elsewhere on the site... Thanks.

Hi Guys/Gals, I am new to the world of bikes after spending many years and money on sports/performance cars! I have recently passed my Mod 1 bike test and have got my mod 2 in the next week. I have already been biten by the biking bug! I'm just after a bit of advice on my first bike purchase. Im 29 yrs old and have been looking at some nice 07 plate r6's. I know that these are high performance bikes but have had mixed advice from my mates who own bikes. Some have said get a fazer/hornet to start with whilst others have said go for the r6 because I will only end up changing bikes after a short period of time because I will end up bored of a fazer/hornet and potentiall…

Hi all, I'm after some advice with getting a Cat C write off back on the road. It's a YBR 125 custom, first bike, bought second hand for about £1400. I had a *very* minor accident a few months back. Was parked on the road and a big SUV backed into the bike, knocking it into another bike. The damage to mine looked very minimal (dented the instrument panel I'd only recently replaced(!), a broken indicator light, some minor scratches). The other bike was a lot worse off, and when I found the bike neither driver was there so I reported it to my insurer and the police to cover my back... a week later the car driver got in touch, was unreservedly apologetic and said his thi…

Hi, Just thought that I would give this a go, just joined the owners club on the advice of a good mate of mine who said that someone could help on here. I'm currently referbing my XVS 650 and working on the back end. I've removed the rear mudguard ok and am trying to take the rear wheel assembly off. Undone all the relevant nuts and bolts as per the haynes bible but then I hit the problem.... the back wheel does not slide out. It is though the splined drive shaft is stuck in the engine end (there is a bit of backlash, between a quarter and half an inch) Please can anybody help?

Hi all, I am planning on buying a wr450 and would just like as much advice as I can get on them before I buy one. I have a couple of specific questions but in addition to that any information would be welcomed: How long do the engines last for if properley serviced How often do you have to service them Is there a particular model and year to avoid or aim for Are there any particular things to look at when viewing to buy Does the overall design change after a certain year What are the pros and cons of the wr450 Would really appreciate any advice, I am planning on riding on road and green laning. Many Thanks Burge.
