Hello! I just bought a 1997 Yamaha XJ600S Diversion. I bought it used obviously. When i went to look at it before i bought it everything worked. He said it had been standing for a while, like a couple of months i think. It was a bit tricky to turn the ignition but i figured it out and it worked. We probably turned it on and off 3-4 times and it worked. When i got home and tried to turn the ignition it was as said a bit tricky but it worked, it started and the lights worked no problem and i could drive it. Then it all went south when I removed the front fearing. I removed the front fearing(front lights, front signals, gauges, some cable from the gauge thing to the fro…

Hi All I am considering getting an FJR1300 to replace my XJ900 diversion and although some test rides are planned I would like the feedback and advice from any current FJR1300 riders. I know the FJR has brilliant write ups but the following are things in my mind. 1. Gears - The XJ900 has 5 gears and I always feel when doing touring, motorways or distance it just needs a 6th to drop the rev's a little at motorway speeds. Is this the case with the FJR1300 or is the gearing a lot better. 2 - Parts pricing - The parts for a XJ900 are readily available and fairly cheap, The FJR1300 being a lot newer, more advanced, is there point i should check really carefully when …

i dont know what your problems are with cars. you get one or two arseholes and everyone gets abused now ive seen alot more dangerous drivers on bikes ie yesterday3 drz400s came fucking up my road on their back wheels that is 100% fucking dangerous and what if a kid walked out in the road which usually does happen here, cars have more right to be on the road cause they pay more road tax. there are just as many wankers on bikes as there is on bikes

Hi there, My second thread and hopefully quite easy for someone: - how easy is it to change an air filter? I have a 2001 R1 and it looks easy on internet but I have ZERO experience on bikes bar doing an oil change. How long should it take and what the opportunity for me to make a balls up of it? - what are the advantages of specialist air filters vs. standard Yamaha. This may be a really stupid question but I don't know the answer - stock one looks to be around £18 new whereas K&N, which are advertised everywhere, are about £42. Just trying to work out what the benefits are and whether its worth the extra cash. - any recommendations for where I can buy air…

It is with sad regret to inform you that one of our forum members xs360 (peter) has passed away. he came back from America about a month ago with a chest infection which led to complications and had a heart attack. As well as his xs360, he was into the Z750 twins in a big way and was well respected in the Yorkshire village where he grew up. In fact at his funeral the whole Village attended. I wish his family my condolences may he rest in peace and gone to biking heaven!!
