Hello everyone. Yes, I'm another new member. Not only to this club but to the world of Yamaha motorcycles. I have owned 2 Ducati's previously. A Monster 600 Dark, purchased new in 1998 and a 2000 model 748, which I bought in January 2006. The 748 set fire to itself last month and has been rendered 'uneconomical' to repair. I test rode a 2005 model R6 yesterday and decided to buy it. Have I made a good choice?

Hi all. I am fairly new to biking and am having a concience dilemma. I bought my stuff at my one stop shop Hein Gericke which is not too far from me and the clothes seem to get pretty good press so i got myself one of their retro style leather jackets and have just bought a pair of their leather trousers the pro sports ones. I am a 36" waist and when I tried the 36" waist on they fitted but the salesman said leather trousers stretch up to 10% and as such should go for the 34" ones. I got the 34" waist ones and wearing them on the bike has been horrific as the crotch seems to restrict you straddling the tank(I have an R6) and then when you try and get your feet onto the…

Can anyone help me ? I recently passed my test and bought a 1995 fzr 600 genesis. I rode the bike for a month or so with no problems in fact i loved it but now it has developed a slight water leak. I have removed the fairings but cant see where the leak is coming from. There is no power loss and it only seems to leak at high revs.I only noticed it when i went to take off my leathers and i had a wet patch on my left shin

hey guys and girls just wondering if u cud help me out i can only ride up to 125's coz only got a cbt, i was wondering which 125 is the best for me, i luv a sports, and i wanna b able to ride it without having to stretch across the tank too much lol , so i suppose a sporty 125 for a woman perhaps ? any surgestions?

Hi all, I have just joined the community and I would like to say 'hello' to you all. I have just bought a second-hand XVS125 with which to pass my test and then graduate to a 650 in due course. I rode bikes for over ten years, but gave it all up after having two bikes nicked within six months of each other and then starting a family (incidents not linked!). I love my car (a Rover 220 Tomcat) but the state of the roads, the price of fuel and 'traffic-calming' generated congestion are killing it rather quickly, hence my return to two wheels. just got a xt125x and it doing 60mph depending on which way the winds blowing. im 9 stone weight i herd that the bikes built to 14 horsepower and thats it does any1 no if theres any thing that can be done or modifi in any way please help Enable email notification of replies? The electric starter on my YBR125 is not working. The Yamaha dealer has told me it is likely the brushes have gone, which will cost about £40 to replace plus £50 labour. I thought I would have a go myself. Can anyone advise please where I might purchase the brushes and are there any YBR125 manuals available which would show me how to do the job. Thanks for your advice. Steve

Hi, can anyone please recommend a good and honest mechanic? I have been messed around by one for 6 weeks now and hence I cannot ride my R6. Apparently I need a front brake barrel. It is on a 54 plate. All help appreciated, thanks, Rachel

Hi Guys - Happy new year to the crew - I've just registered today and need some help - I have a black 2004 R6 with a standard can - My friend recently bought the 2007 R6 (black) and he had the Laser Extreme (GP) can put onto that - The sound was AWESOME!!,, As that can is NOT compatible with my older model, does anyone know of a can that can perhaps match the same quality and levels of sound as the Laser Extreme GP - (PS - i'm not sure if my friend had the baffle removed or not, but sound was truely awesome). Any ideas/help would be much appreciated!... thanks guys

Hi can anyone help with an electrical fault on my fazzer. Batt keep going flat. Got a new batt for it, but still having same prob, checked in mantinace manuel, and tested alternater, the readings are a bit higher than in the book but not alot, dose anyone know how to test the rectifier. Can anyone please help?
