This is weird - I'm a fairly new user here but it seems that whenever I'm here I'm the ONLY one - do I smell? [checks armpits/breath] anyway..... My real topic is to do with welding. I am a welding-ignoramus can ne1 explain mig/tig/mag/arc to me and mebbe recommed something for car bodywork/bike frame etc. There are few, what looks to be good/cheap, set-ups at app £200. Do I need the ones with gas or not etc etc etc. Should I buy a 'name' (wolf/draper/bosch)? I'm thinking of a cheap introduction to welding but i don't want to buy a heap of dog-doo!!! ALL comments will be avidly read and consumed. Merry Christmas to you all and here's wishing the big fat guy…

Well, we’ve got off on the wrong foot i should of introduced my self. My names Sean, 17 and love all things classic Yamaha. Be it Lc's, powervalves, RD's, TZR's, FZR's. I like them all. My main passion is restoring them; this is my RD50mxII, brought for £155, in boxes 18 months ago. Sorry if I offended anybody by not introducing myself. As some of you on here may know, I’m into my RD’s and TZR’s. Well turns out my little RD50 has made it through to a certain magazines, top 15 rebuild of the year This is where I need your help. It works a little like that program called x-factor or something along them lines. So basically I need your help, get voting. It costs 10p…

I am currently reading The Police Rider's Handbook to Better Motorcycling. Every time I read it there is always a bit that I think to myself 'from now on I'm gonna do that'. I think my riding/attitude (now 20 years+) improves with every re-read too. It should be compulsory reading at CBT level. There is so much mental stuff you have to do when riding not just park your arse on it and go. If you haven't, read it, and if you have read it again. It'll save your life one day.

I've been loitering on here for a few weeks now & I only registered to contact a seller but being a Yamaha nut I thought I would stick around & say "oroight". I live in a pineapple under the sea... . No I don't, I live in a town just south of Birmingham but I'm not a brummie despite what people say. Name's Graham, I'm 38 physically, 18 mentally, own a TRX 850 which is my pride & joy, have my own business fitting glass to cars & lorries, mess with cars & bikes a lot in my spare time & I'm currently building a 26 year old Ford track car ermmm... . thing. Can't get to grips with uploading a picture of myself which is probably a blessing …

i've made a few posts here and there since joining a few weeks ago, but as of yet havent actually introduced myself. My names Nick, I'm 22 and ride a Yami YZF-R125 in red / white / black. Am fairly new to biking, my only previous bike was a 125 Sukida Patriot, not the nicest bike to ride, and i cant say i exactly felt safe on it, but it was cheap and got me from A to B! Then i got my hands on my current bike and have never looked back, have got a new found enjoyment out of riding and have actually found myself taking it out for the fun of it instead of just the essential treck to work.

Hello all, I am joining this forum to hopefully get some information about R6's, what is best for them and hints a tips on anything from general up-keep, to best parts and servicing centres. I don't even have a bike or a bike license yet But, I am doing my theory soon (hopefully) and doing my DAS on or around Spring 2009. Anyway, my first bike (and this might be a bad idea) will hopefully be a '08 R6. The reason for this choice of bike is I intend to tour Europe with some friends I have that already have bikes, but, I want a bike that’s fun when I am at home too. Cheers for all the help you guys (and gals) can offer

I am by no means an experienced rider, but lets say I want to live all the "in at the deep end" "road adventure" cliches, and lets say I want to that with a 1995 RXS100... ...Now someone tell me how unrealistic i'm being! Otherwise, anyone with any long term, long distance experience with an RXS100 could put me straight on the pros and cons of attempting to ride the thing as far as, perhaps, Switzerland and back. The adventure may or may not start here?!

....a good access to some great off-roading areas yesterday. I went out for a spin with Road Rash from Trail Pilgrim.com...we found a good way into an area where he used to ride back in the 80's & that I knew of for quite awhile. Goat Mtn. has always been a good area for some off-road action ever since I 1st heard of it.....not to mention some great views As you can see, we ran into a little snow on the way up..... It was pretty chilly, especially in the shady areas.....but actually warmer than the past few days have been around here. We found plenty of evidence that this area is still alive & well for off-road use......Trails everywhe…

I don't want to sound arrogant but I've noticed that more and more people are joining this forum and less and less are saying hello. I know it's a miserable time of the year for most bikers cos they have to look at their pride and joy rather than riding it but come on it doesn't hurt to remain polite with fellow bikers!

I must be the only person I know that missed both Christmas Eve and New Year Eve. I can't believe I had nil, zero, zilch alcohol on these two nights. Xmas Eve: finished work at 5.30am - went down town with her indoors to do some last minute(!) chrimbo shopping at about 9am. You know what women and shopping means - it was 2.30pm when we got home. My lad's scooter needed some work doing to it so being the wonderful caring Dad I am I fixed it for him. I was just toddling off to bed for some much needed shut eye when some friends called round to see us. Knowing that we were going out that night I went for a bath, got changed sat down on the settee and fell asleep! My mi…
