i just bought my husband a 1979 yamaha 1100xs. it now seems to have an oil leak but we can't tell where the oil is coming from, it only seems to leak when he is riding it, the first real ride he was able to take it on is when the leak appeared. he even found oil dripping out of the air filter compartment, so we replaced the air filter. and he had found a loose hose clamp which he thought was the problem. so he replaced that but today when he took it out again the same thing happened. He did say he left the gas tank on choke when he rode it, i don't know if that could cause a problem? if anyone has any suggestions please let me know.

Hi all, I want to change a few things on my bike as they have either worn or been damaged. However I am having a bit of difficulty finding the parts on the internet. So if you have any ideas on where to get them from, it would be greatly appreciated. Both tyres on my bike are the stock ones it came with. I am able to change the back wheel but am less confident doing so on the front due to the disc brake. So I will go to a garage for the front wheel. So I just need a single back tyre, but do not know of the best places to get this from? My foot pegs are on a single bar bolted to the underside of my bike, and I am struggling to find the single bars for sale. I am onl…

Joined up a little while back so though I should say hello. Have a 1990 TZR250 2MA that is absolutely as it left the factory. Got it end of october last year for £450 . Had 18500 miles and now around 18700 (nasty weather so little riding). Had to replace the carbs needles due to it vommitting all its fuel onto the garage floor and filling the crankcase full of the stuff and the YPVS control unit as the powervalves weren't functioning. Need to do a few little jobs like replace the ugly mirrors and sort out a broken indicator but other than that she is in very rude health . Here it is.

Hey guys and gals! Just got a 1996 xj600s and I'm restoring it as a project. I was thinking of starting a blog about it all and posting what I was doing and how to sort through and clean it up etc. it's a non runner at the moment. Starts and runs on idle and choke, but will cut out as soon as you touch the accelorator. First though, problem in fuel pump/ carbs taken all this off and found a small hole in one of the diaphragms in the carb! Hoping this is the problem, anyway. Ordered a second hand set of carburetors and awaiting them to arrive. Checked fuel pump and fuel lines all running smoothly, so with any luck not much more work to do to get it up and running. Once it …

So after the last YOC meet up and rolling round the roads of Wales I think it's time for me to uprate the rear shock on the FJR, this is because I did find myself yoyoing round some of the wonderful bends in Wales. Apparently the OE rear shock on the FJR is known for being a bit under sprung and as it's one I bought used from France some years ago I figured it was time for a bit of an upgrade, anyway I went to the FJ owners club the other day and got a sparkly new YSS shock for the bike, pretty bloody amazing difference in corners and it does not squat down anymore when I give it the beans. Plus I can now alter the ride height and the rebound which the standard shock lack…

Hi Guys, I just bought an XV750 1982 so I joined your club to find out more about it and to see if I can pick your collective brain. It has, what I gather from extensive reading, are usual problems associated with this model, about which more later, after I have perused your forum for FAQ's Regards

It's been a while since I started a new post, so thought I'd share my new toy! Picked it up last week, I'm 30 this year so I thought balls to it and had a brand new bike. Gone for the new speed twin... Pics attached. All I'll say is that it's awesome, torque for days, nice and easy to ride - even at a spirited pace Sorry it's not a yam [emoji851] Sent from my SM-G973F using Tapatalk
