Hi all wondered what anyone else is achieving? I'm averaging about 72ish MPG. Is this about right? The bike is nearly 20 years old but I had been led to believe I should be getting more. Cheers

Ok ive just filled the tank..again after clocking up 139.4 miles of riding. this riding has been just commuting to and from work using a roads ranging from 30 mph to 50 mph, keeping stricktly to the speed limits to see exactly what i would get to the tank. Still running bike engine in, up to 415 miles now, so my question is this...is this a true number of miles that i should, and will be getting in the future on my new fazer 600s? Any comments please all out there who have one. Cheers guys`.

Hi, I am a newbie member to the YOC with a recently aquired 1991 XJ900F. When I got the bike the speedo dial was very faded and the petrol gauge plastic cover had a crack in it so I bought a good used instrument set from an eBay seller. Rather than replace the complete speedometer unit which would of course have given an incorrect odometer reading I decided to take off just the needle to remove the faded dial, marking the back of the instrument as best I could to give the same MPH reading. Now I seem to be going a bit faster than the speedo suggests; could someone with the same bike check exactly what MPH they have in top gear for any given RPM? My first question…

Mr Neat & Mr Tidy ..... I used to love those Mr Men characters (in fact, I still do) but I digress...... Just wondered what wee products and tips you all swear by when it comes to cleaning your bikes (I realise from enjoying manys a post on this site that 'clean' and 'my bike' will just sound like blasphemy to some of you ). I have to admit I do enjoy cleaning my bike at the weekend (time permitting) but I was wondering today whether I'm missing out on any effective (energy saving) tricks of the trade?? And no - sending SWMBO out with a cloth isn't an option!

Mr. Cadbury Mr. Cadbury and Ms Rowntree met on a coach journey. It was After Eight. She was from Quality Street; he was a Fisherman's Friend. On the way they stopped at a Yorkie Bar, he had a Rum & Butter and she had a Wine Gum. He asked her name. "Polo, I'm the one with the hole", she said. "I'm the one with the Nuts", he thought. Then he touched her Milky Way. They checked in and went straight to the bedroom. Mr Cadbury turned out the light for a bit of Black Magic. It wasn't long before he slipped his hand into her Snickers and felt the contrast of her Double Decker. Then he showed her his Curly Wurly. Ms Rowntree w…

hi guys recently brought Yamaha mt 03 2 months ago, going sweet until I change the engine oil and oil filter, I follow YouTube vids right and I over filled it, then immediately drained some back out, was good til I checked next day was below so topped it up and was spot on, then the engine was cutting out occasionally when I give it a little bit of Rev only in neutral and first, then the engine management light kept coming on and going off, it got worse gradually after 2 weeks after changed oil, i thought might be carb dirty, so put some red ex carb adhesive cleaner in, during my ride today I had to stop because engine management light was on too frequent so I checked the…

I have just bought myself a Yamaha MT-03. I love it except it has a few intermittent problems. 1. It cuts out at some point during most journeys, usually when I am accelerating after slowing to under 15mph or when I am pulling away from a standstill. It is not just a case of me stalling the bike. 2. When riding, if I open the throttle fully nothing will happen or the engine will stutter, then it feels like I have suddenly been rear-ended. Again, this a few times happens on most journeys. 3. When riding with the throttle in the same position the bike keeps accelerating and decelerating by a couple of mph and will sometimes suddenly decelerate The bike is a…

I've just bought an MT-03 and am just breaking it in at the moment. This might sound a bit impatient but I'm a bit concerned about it's top speed capability. I'm not going above 4500 revs but in 5th gear it only seems to reach 60mph. I'm not sure whether bikes get faster over time and after it's first 1000 it will pick up? I just can't see where the rest is going to come from and wondered if anyone has had the same experience. Apart from this the bike is great. Lots of fun and to be honest I'm in London so don't to go much above 4th gear anyway (and that's if I'm lucky).

Hi All, I have an issue with emergency lights on my MT-07. Few weeks ago I replaced rear indicators with LED versions and did the same with front ones over the weekend. They work fine when indicating left or right, all blink once or twice when I arm or disarm the alarm, but when I try emergency lights they only blink once and stop. Any ideas? Thanks, Jacob
