well i bought a spotless 1998 XJ 600S Diversion from a man in the middleands. However, when his mate was delivering it he crashed it at low speed on a diesel patch. now the fairing is completely ruined with BIG cracks and scratches. . i am now looking for a replacement fairing and have come across a few earlier model fairings going second hand for good prices. i am wondering whether or not these will fit my bike? the fairing i am looking at buying is from a 1994 model whereas mine is a 1998. Can anyone help me? many thanks, Mark

Just a little intro on myself. I rode while in college, then got married and stopped. (big shock) Now, I've gotten back to it with a little 88 FZ 600. It runs really well, and has enough power for me as I am just getting back into it. I'm interested in working on it so if anyone has any ideas of what types of modifications will work on this bike I'll look at them all, no matter how crazy. Especially exhaust, intake, front forks, swing arm ideas. It's great getting back on the bike!

Hi all, as i've said in a previous post i've had my first bike delivered today, to be sensible i thought i'd get alot of good clothing etc, i bought Dainese Delta leather trousers and jacket, when i tried them on in the shop the jacket felt abit tight and the trousers were fine, apparently the jacket should be tight and you should just about be able to get your hands in your pockets which i can, now the fella also sold me a KNOX back protector, now when i put this on the trousers and jacket are really tight as i guess it adds a couple of inches as it goes into your trousers at the back and sticks out round your back. I don't want to take the labels out as it's £520 wor…

Copied and Pasted.................... Michelin to Recall Pilot Power 2CT and Pilot Power 120/70 ZR 17 Front Motorcycle Tyres 15/06/07 (STOKE-ON-TRENT – 15 June 2007) – Michelin has launched a campaign to recall its Pilot Power 2CT and Pilot Power 120/70 ZR 17 front motorcycle tyres with “Made in France” markings. An examination of these tyres showed a possible defect in the tread due to a manufacturing irregularity. No cases of pressure loss have been reported and no accidents have occurred. Because customer safety is its primary concern, Michelin has decided as a precaution to replace certain 120/70 ZR 17 Michelin Pilot Power 2CT and Michelin Pilot Power fron…

Hey ladies and gents, I used to ride dirt bikes when I was younger, but just recently got my first street bike: a 1983 Yamaha Maxim 400. I found it on craigslist and got it for $950!! It's super clean and runs perfectly. I super excited about finally having a bike and cant wait to get off work everyday just to cruise. Anyway, I saw this forum and thought I might as well join and introduce myself. My name is Brian, but everyone calls me Jonesey(jones-E). I look forward to shooting the sh*t with everyone, and I hope you'll introduce yourself if you are a regular, even if your not... Have a great day and ride safe.

Greatings. Just recently moved to Perris, CA. The previous tenant of the house we are renting left behind a '77 KX750D. Looks like it sat outside for a year. Covered with dust and Black Widow spiders. It seems to have good compresion and only 8,250 miles on the clock. Should be an interesting restoration (my other projects are Honda CB's) and a nice sidecar setup.

I pick up my new MT-01 today and am sitting here full of excitement and a fair bit of trepidation! Anyone else out there with an MT and can give any advice - other than hang on tight?!! Dave

When the bike is on the center stand, should both wheels still be on the ground or can you tip the bike so front or rear wheels are off the ground ?.. I suspect my center stand is slightly squashed..
