Yamaha has teamed up with their top MotoGP stars Jorge Lorenzo and Ben Spies to give you the chance to win one of three limited edition 50th Anniversary Yamaha bikes. Check it out: http://yamahaclub.com/_/news/motogp/yamaha-motogp-challenge (Only for Europeans I'm afraid.)

I'm in the market for a new ring tone, and the normal mp3 song ring tones have been done to death, i'm on the lookout for a nice (clear) mp3 of a bike taking off hard. If you stumble accross one i'd apreciate it. Off to google now.

Hi all, I'm after some general opinions ref riding in town / slow moving traffic and bikers overtaking other bikers. On my daily commute to & from work, if I'm following traffic with no room to filter or overtake (usually in a single lane), I often get a rider either coming to my side and blocking my ability to manoeuvre or trying to get a little ahead of me. If there is space ahead, I have no problem 'yielding' to a bike willing to go faster then I am but in slow moving traffic isn't there some rule or etiquette? I did my CBT freakin decades ago and remember being told the bike in front has priority as, in general, you (as the rider behind) has a wider vie…

Afternoon all We went to the motorbike show at the NEC and noticed there were owners clubs there for Honda, Suzuki, Harley, etc, etc but none for us!! We were also quite disappointed at the Yamaha section so was wondering if anyone would be interested in having a Yamaha owners club there? As I've said on numerous posts(!!), I'm new to this biking world and love talking to bikers and would have really liked to have seen a stall for us. If anyone's interested, I don't mind getting hold of Yamaha to see if they would fund it or have a little section of their stand next year set up as an owners section. There seems to be a great cameraderie between bikers and certa…

Since getting my bike straight away I noticed the large amount of unwanted attention it creates. Every single time I venture out I get kids, adults, chavs, idiots and other various people I do not wish to engage with more or less harassing me. Mostly its just people asking me questions about it, which I don't mind, but yesterday some guy offered to buy my bike off me for £1000, I told him it's not for sale but he carried on and on, the retard said to me he bought the exact same model and year bike as mine for £300 a few weeks ago and that I was lucky to be offered a £1k and should take it. I paid £1300 for my bike and have pumped hundreds into it already. I value it at £1…

For more years than I care to remember I always rode bikes in just jeans, leather jacket and trainers. I've had my share of offs although (touch wood) without any serious injury. All my mates dressed the same and we all fell off occassionally. I know that the older you get the longer it takes to get over the cuts, bruises and knocks. Since getting involved in motorcycle racing firstly as a marshall and for the last five years as a scrutineer I have come to appreciate the wearing of the correct gear. Having witnessed first hand crashes from 'lowly' club racers right up to GP Gods the days of jeans etc in my case are long gone. Except for travelling to work and back it…

Hey everyone. what are the regulations with regards to headlights on motorcycles. i.e do they need to be a specific height above the ground, do they have to focus on a specific point at an exact distance from the headlight itself?. basically im planning a front-end (temporary) modification to the XJ600... basically a deadmau5 head with eyes as headlights, if i can upload a few pphotos from my sketchpad i can give you guys and gals an idea of what im after, but ideally i would need to get to the bottom of this headlight dilema before i can settle on a design cheers all - Foameh x

  18. Hey everyone, My name is Nick, I'm 21 and I've been riding for 17 years (my bicycle that is ). I have been wanting a motorcycle for a loooooong time and now that I'm out from under the watchful eye of my mother and father, I have purchased my first. It's a 1978 Yamaha DT175, pretty much not my dream ride but a cheap bike for me to learn on. My question is a legal one, if anybody is knowledgable on that subject. I live in California. I asked a motorcycle enthusiast accquaintance if he could locate a few parts for me. I need a couple of mirrors, a brake light, brake light relay, turn signal relay, ignition switch, and battery in order for me to satis…
