Hello Its good to find this forum, I just bought an 1976 XS 500 for my wife which has been sitting for a number of years but seems to be complete and kicks through nice. Ive changed the oil and fixed the carb issues now Im just down to getting the points straightened out an collecting a few missing parts (least thats what Im hoping for) Ive been riding for a number of years Mostly Harley's and Triumphs and I look forward to expanding my knowledge of yet another new breed of bike.

I've just bought 3 XS500's for about 500$, I don't know if it's too much money, but for now I think the winter will be over soon, when I start to get them build together again, they are all laying in boxes only one is part fittet together again, but I have to dismantle it, so the bike gets a new start. My son did se the pictures of the bikes and his comment was: That's no bike it has no seat and is ugly. This is the one I showed him. I didn't dare to show him this one.

Hi y'all Ive got twin rear lights on my '99 R6. Coming back from a ride Im informed my left light is out. My b/f takes off the lense cover (which is bubbled from the heat), we find that the bulb has melted into the plastic at the back and we cant get it out....same on the other one although not quite as bad. They are only little 8w bulbs?? can anyone offer a theory as to why they are running that hot? Dont wanna fork out on new stuff if they are just gonna be frazzled too... is it just shit selection of bulbs / lights on an 'aftermarket' undertray or could there be another issue? Any help appreciated guys Ta Kell

Greetings all. Purchased a new 2008 star xvs 100T yesterday and can hardly wait till she gets delivered. I currently own a BMW K1200RS and decided to try a different seat style. What can I expect? If I get the bike on a Friday, I'd more than likely have it back on Monday for the 600 mile service. I enjoy a good ride.

just read fahren account of his accident and am truly glad to hear he is ok ( see topic Gutted but Glad ).It set me thinking - when I 1st got my bike I promised myself I would get the right gear to wear but never did. I live in a country where i don't even have to wear a lid but ALWAYS do. My question to you all is what is the best gear to buy for a country where the weather is regularly in the 40's (damn Hot) . What would you recommend Boots upwards remembering my pockets are not bottomless. Mike

Hello Everyone, This morning I took my module 1 test on my 1995 SR125 and I'm hoping to gain an A2 license, remaining restricted to 33bhp for 2 years. I passed (yay!), but was only given an A1 certificate because my bike was not on the examiner's list of machines capable of 100 km/h. He said if I could get a certificate of conformity for the bike, proving it could achieve the minimum speed, I could get the certificate upgraded. My question is, has anyone here taken their restricted A2 license on an SR125? I'll feel more comforted if others have done so, and it's just a case of getting the necessary paperwork. I'm not sure that I fancy taking the test again - I…

  19. =] a 1992 TZR, fun, hard work though, needed doing as frame, and subframe had rust on, and we also found mains flex running the length of the bike from the headlight to the back light, and that the rear footpegs had been hacksawed off along with some of the frame too...wasnt over impressed... goes and sounds like a treat now though the Ones with the white screen are the older ones, and the black screen the new ones, BTW for those keen eyed people, thats a honda in the background sadly not mine :L
