Hello, Just joined as I have bought a Yamaha YZF600R Thundercat. 03 plate, pick her up next week. My previous bike was a SV650 so looking forward to the extra umphh the Thundercat has. Any hints or tips for a first time owner of a Thundercat would be greatly appreciated. Any advice on the set up of the suspension would be especially helpful as the suspension on my previous SV650 is about as adjustable as my 3 years raleigh Bumble Bee!!! I understand you need height and weight so 5'11" about 13 stone ish

Stall problem, can anybody tell me how to fix this. I have a 2-year old Fazer 600. Daily commute takes me five miles on local roads, then fifteen miles on motorway, then, after five or ten miles in London traffic it starts miss-firing, stalls and/or needs loads of revs to get away from lights. Have found that if i stop, turn off and restart, then the problem goes away, and the engine runs normally. But this doesn't happen every time.

I have had a 82 Yamaha Maxim XJ55O for about 15 years. It has 12,700 miles on it and it still runs great. I live in South Dakota so I am just now able to start riding this year. I am looking at replacing the rear tire (it's getting a little dry and cracked. I have the Dunlop Gold K127 130/90/16 and I plan to replace it with the Kenda K657 Sport Challenger 110/90H-18 from Tires Unlimited (http://tiresunlimited.com/default.htm). I am curious if anyone has an opinion about switching to this other tire size. How will it affect the ride? Hi i am new here and need help. I bought my fzr250 import about 3 days ago, she hasn't been looked after so i have stripped her down and given her a fresh respray. However the exhaust is standard and has a hole in and rather than replace it with another standard exhaust i was wondering if anyone on here may have or help me source a nicer looking aftermarket one. It doesn't have to improve performance just after something nice. I was wondering if the exhaust of a fzr400 or 600 would bolt straight up? Please help Kind Regards Paul

Picked up my new Fazer 600 S2 today. I had them fit a touring screen and Scottoiler dual injection before I picked it up. It runs very smoothly and the seating position is higher and more upright than the SV650S I had, which is just what I wanted. Lovely machine. Got home, waxed it, sprayed GT85 on all the metal bits, lowered the levers and took some free play out of the clutch and throttle. I have in my back garden a VFR400 which I intend to rebuild at some point. It has be sat under tarpaulin for the last six month and when I wandered passed it yesterday I notice the cover had blown off. I lent over in and gave the throttle a pull, seized solid - bugger I thought! I took the tank off to find that the carbs were under water (god knows how) starting to panic I removed the carbs to find the inlet tracts full of water - SHIT!!!! I took the plugs out, now being a V4 I had to take the rad off to get the front 2 out. The back 2 point at the seat and without a triple jointed hand you cannot get them out. So I left them loose, but undone in the plug holes. At …

Hi I'm Kev, I'm 17, and I own a lovely little YBR125. I've been riding on the road for a little over a year now, and now that I am 17, I will be taking my full test soon. I was wondering what you would all recommend for my next bike. It has to be 400cc or less unfortunately, but hey its better than nothing. I would love to get antoher Yamaha because I just love mine so much, so reliable, never given me any hassle. But there just isn't much choice for 250cc or 400cc bikes where I live (Isle of Wight) and I preferably want a 4 stroke road bike. Any comments will be greatly appreciated . Cheers.

i never thought stoner would stay on his ducati never mind win races. thought ducati were mad to drop gibernau and give stoner a ride .hes really given rossi a run for his money ,maybe it will bring out more of rossi genuis ,what do you think .of to donnington in couple of weeks hopefully yamaha can squeeze a bit more out of the bike ,watch this space ! lets have your thoughts interested in views on all riders this year
