Hi all, i have got a 2010 yamaha xj6n and i have come to start tonight after 3 days not been on, and she wont start its making a buzzing noise from a black unit next to the battery and my headlight keeps flashing? please can you help as im confused. thans jay

Hello I've recently purchased a naked XJ6 and want to change the spark plugs. I've taken the side panels to see if I can access the plugs, but there doesn't seem to be any room, so I tried to manoeuvre radiator out of the way without disconnecting the hoses but with out much luck. After abut half an hour I gave up and put panels back on. Any help will be much appreciated. Anyway, I hope you all had a great Christmas.

hi. I took my side case off on the gear side as my starter motor had disingaged from the starter gear. When I took case off I found that there was oil on my stator and flywheel. Not much but enough to coat like gravy. This could have got in there by me taking casing off. I have never known oil to be here? I thought there might be a seal behind the flywheel that has gone but at present I haven't been able to get the flywheel nut off to have a look. It's on there tight. So my question is, is this normal for this bike to have oil in with the stator/ flywheel. Cheers for any help. Ian

Hello, I am currently stationed in Okinawa Japan and i bought a Yamaha SRV250. I got it for a helluva steal. only $750! Anyway, it has some serious carburetor issues and i need to rebuild them. the only problem is i can't find carb parts for it anywhere!! From what i've read the carbs are not the same as its Virago brother being that the Virago only has one horizontal carb and the SRV has two vertical carbs. Anyway, if anyone knows where i can get carb parts for it or if there are any identical carbs i can use parts from please let me know so i can get this thing up and running! Will someone help me? Ive installed a full leo vince gp pro system on my bike and since that it was running horrible and lumpy, lost about 20mph of the top speed, barley getting 100 miles out of a tank, i recently put a power commander v in hoping that this will help everything when it hasn't, it has only given me a few more miles and the speed remains the same. ive fitted a leo vince zx exhaust on my yamaha aerox 50cc including the rollers and clutch springs which came with the exhaust, the rollers weigh 4.3g, im just woundering what size jet do i need to gain maximium performance as its really slow in accelerating upto 40mph then flys upto 60mph. help would me most appreciated.

Hi people , I'm hoping one o' you good folks out there has a brass oil delivery spigot from a Mikuni carb (RD/DT etc) . I'm putting an '81 RD back on the road and one carb is missing this little nipple which I can't find new online anywhere . If one of you has one you'll have earned my undying gratitude , (not sure what that'll be worth to you , but I'll pay the postage as well ) , waiting with baited breath , Kev .

This thing is a basket case. I bought this engine from some guy who really knew nothing about it. After some research is found that it was a xs500b. Im planning on using it on a go kart if i can get it running. The question i have has to do with the push lever assembly on the clutch. The rod that goes from the assembly into the clutch is missing and/or broke. I found a couple of schematics, but wasn't very useful. Can anyone help? Thanks Chris..

I just bought a motorcycel off of Ebay that is supposed to be a 1992 Yamaha Xv535. The problem is, The vin has only 9 charecters. The vin is 2yl064548. What is this bike. I was told by a guy that it might be a import from the Uk. Im not sure. I need a gas cap and gasket for whatever bike this is but I do not know what to buy. Will other years interchange? Like I said, I need help. Any help anyone can give me would be apreciated. Thanks

I need to know if there is anyone that can help me. I own a 1986 yamaha radian 600 I just bought a 1990 yamaha radian 600. My question is can I swap motors from the 1990 to the 1986 if so what possibly will be the difference between the two if any. I already know that the wiring is different. But what else is different if any.

hi folks, not sure if this is the right room for this question but desperate times call for desperate measures. the time for shipping my XVS1100 from Australia to UK is fast approaching and have just been hit with another documentation request. DVLA say they would like a document to confirm the year of the bike as the VIN plate may not be enough on the off-chance it has been tampered with (it was a private buy so no dealer receipt) and if i cannot produce this "back-up evidence" then i may have to register it as a Q plate. i do have copies of the QLD transport dept paperwork which has the year on it (2006) but am now being told that they dont count as it was me who ha…

Long time lurker here... Love my Thundercat - great bike for commuting and the odd blat out into the countryside. However I have noticed over the last couple of days a very distinct knock has developed from somewhere near the middle/back of the bike, think it is only noticeable in 3rd gear - dont get much change to push it into 4th around town on the commute so cant be sure if its in all gears. Its a very rythmic knocking, speeds up with the bike and is slightly less noticeable as speed generates - possibly not enough revs?? Hi guys, i need help for my bike to set the ignition timing right, i don't have a manual for this bike and i need support if anyone of you have one, my bike works fine at idle but has so little power on low throttle and i struggle uphills with 1st and 2nd gear.

Ive just bought a yamaha dt 125r sm as a little project, its previously had both top and bottom end rebuilds. The previous owner admitted he spanked it everywhere and has cooked the engine. The bore is fine as is the piston, theres alot of oil in the radiator but the thing thats confused me is it seems theres 4 stroke in the head, any ideas?

hi all, have just overhauled the front calipers on my fzr600r and have spent the last 3 hours trying to bleed them but no success , has anyone any ideas as to why they wont bleed. thanks
