hi everyone i recently brought my first big bike witch is a 1997 yzf 600r thundercat im trying to find a decent set of r1 callipers for the front of my bike that are fairly cheap as im also looking for a full s/s exhuast system as my down pipes have got big holes in but i dont know which 1 will be best for my bike any help will be great thanks andy

Hi Everyone I need help Big time My brother game me this bike to fix it up for his grandson. Im tring to find out some info on this bike. I have checked the net and there is nothing much online. This is the info I found on the muffler (Yamaha Krizman spark arrester Model KS-250) Im not sure if this is the spark arrester model or the bike. The V.I.N. is 367-656488 Im not sure if it is a 2 stroke or 4 stroke my brother told me it was a 2 stroke but i think its a 4 stroke it has a oil dip stick and a drain plug when i started it it sounded like a 2 stroke so i stopped it right away. Hello I purchased a set of radiator guards off e-bay and the packaging says it will fit 03-05 yamaha wr250. My is a 06 wr250 does anyone out there know if anything changed between 05 and 06 as far as the radiator shroud design. If I open them and try to fit them then I cant return them. So I was just given a 1981 xs850 Special that doesnt run and is in terrible condition. Ive really got nothing but time and would like to learn how to fix this bike. Ive started by stripping a bunch of aesthetic parts and am now in the middle of removing my carb to rebuild it. Does any one have any advice or know of any good links to help me on my journey? I need a few jobs done on my Divvy 600 before winter sets in. i.e. brakes, tyres, etc. The place I went to in Melksham doesn't do bike repairs anymore, shame really, because they were brilliant. What I need is somewhere where I can go with the bike beforehand, discuss what I need doing then arrange a date/time so I can leave the bike and pick it up later in the same day, or if necessary the next day. I bought a 1997 Yamaha YZF 600 Thundercat project bike this summer, and was hoping I would manage to fix it up. After some rounds of trial and error im not really getting any closer to fixing the problems with it. So i was hoping there where some Thundercat/Yamaha gurues here that could help me a bit with my problem. I'm looking at purchasing a Bike on Ebay. The Bike in question has a different decal on the left fairing than the one on the right. The seller swears that the bike came like that new from the dealer. The right decal appears to be the correct one and left appears to come from the year earlier model of the bike. Is there any way that he's telling the truth and somehow this bike had mismatch decals on the fairings brand new from the dealer?

Hi folks, Any help here will be greatly appreciated. Recently acquired a barn find DT125R. Bike is in a shocking state and came in various boxes etc. Whilst putting it together to see what parts are missing, I got the frame number from the neck of the bike, and emailed Yam Customer Support who have come back telling me its a 1990 DT125R, first registered in 1992, and provided me with the registration number (as number plate is missing). I then done one of these online vehicle checks to check the history (specifically stolen etc.) and it came back all clear. I've checked the electrics and I'm pretty sure that the ignitor unit needs replacing. I've been calling breakers yards and checking online but cant seem to find a replacement one.
