Now that I have bought many fenders in hopes of installing one I believe I have the wrong front forks. based on pictures I've seen on google and parts websites it looks way different than any I have seen. Hi guys, as im sure you all know i am new to this website and i would like you guys to share some of ur wisdom with me. Well my problem is that i have £2400 lying in my pocket and i would like to buy a Yamaha tzr 50 and not some shi%^ty rs50 or s.s.s.scooter I would like to ride to places in style like you guys and not like these ch^vs on peds I have found a place that sell new tzr 50's for 2000 which i think is very good, considering an rs50 new is £2600. I would by one today but my mom is giving me the talk about how somebody else should suffer the depreciation and not me, but the truth is i want a bike that somebody hasnt thrashed or scratched and i can only f…

Hello I need some help with my bike I brought a replacement cdi (one from eBay) a while ago and managed to get it started but the bike got really hot really quick also sound really tapping top end I also noticed the carb was leaking fuel out the over flow so I rebuilt the carb got it ultra sonic cleaned and checked reeds. since I have done this it's nearly impossible to start only starts from cold being bumped but when hot will start 1 or 2 kicks done a compression test around 145 -150 so that's fine when it was running I sprayed carb cleaning on crank seal no change. i don't think it's fuel related because I sprayed easy start straight into the cyclinder when c…

Hello , It was recommended to me to use paraffin from a friend for getting the muck and oil splatter off the wheels on my new r6. It worked amazingly but.. i don't remember him telling me that i must clean the tyres quickly after, incase the remaining parraffin makes contact with the tyres. Now i am left with 4 blue lines round each side on my tyres! I have a track day booked for Monday and i am now informed from this friend that if thats the paraiffin set into the tyres they will fail to grip! This is going to mean more £££'s which one is lacking! Please give me your advice!!!!!! Thanks, Arran arranpowellAThotmail.com

Hi! I am thinking of buying an XJ900F and while searching for info I found this forum. I'm not an expert in mechanics nor in the XJ900 itself so, forgive me. While examining an XJ900 for sale in Portugal some doubts arised. (images attached) The bike is supposed to have been imported to Portugal from italy in 2011. I don't know if that is relevant for the spec. In my small research I noticed that all the engines from XJ900F's usually have an engraving on a black background saying "DOHC". In this bike the engraving is red, although I can't read it. The thing is, all XJ900 with the red engraving (supposedly) are earlier models that have a different fairing a…

Hey peeps i know this is a Yammy forum but need some help/advice with the sound system in my swift. basically i got a 500w subwoofer currently plugged in and running on a 10/12AWG power cable (supports maximum 800w), also got a 680w Amplifier for my 6x9s but these aren't connected to the stereo (waiting on an extra RCA cable). now, the sub and the speakers together are rated 1100w maximum output, so i cannot run both on my existing power cable. im swapping the existing power cable to the sub to a heavier 8AWG (1500w) cable tomorrow, im then planning to run the smaller 800w cable to my 6x9s' amp (piggybacking the spades from my subs amp), would this create problem…

Hi guys/gals.... I know I'm new to this forum but since it's an owners club thought it would be best to ask on here for some advice. Anyway: I have a Yamaha XJ600 Diversion N - on a 1999 (T Plate) which the previous owner has put chopper style bars on it so they are higher up, my insurance company won't insure me with these bars so I have to change them back to the original ones (which I already have) but my question is this..... If I change the bars back & keep existing hoses (Brakes, Clutch & So on) they will be a bit longer than needed....will this cause any issues or is it only a problem if they are too short? Any help is greatly appreciated.
